Baron Cohen Takes Catwalk As Bruno

Italian designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada got a bit of surprise during her show yesterday, when actor Sacha Baron Cohen, who’s filming a flick based on his over-the-top fashionista, Bruno, took to the catwalk in a design of his own creation. Security guards and the police weren’t pleased and dragged him out.

Watch the video, after the jump…

Sacha Baron Cohen is comedic genius. How he made America look like the bigoted country it is while celebrating gay culture in the movie “Borat” was pure genius aimed at the next generation of straights. With friends like Sacha, we may have less enemies and some real guffaws with his next gay character; fashionista Bruno.

It was in Milan, but that doesn’t make Agatha Ruiz de la Prada Italian: she comes from Spain.
Anyway, I can’t wait to see Sacha Baron Cohen’s new picture! I love how serious he stays during the whole thing.

I thought Bruno was brilliant (so Austrian, so gay…a bridge between all the different communities, and yet at the forefront of fashion) when I saw him first years ago on Cohen’s cable show on HBO. I’ll wait for this one to come to cable, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy it. Cohen definitely has nerves of steel.

the pictures of Cohen crashing the fashion show in Milan hardly look like him… judging by the aftermath, though, it looks like it was an effective marketing ploy
