Have you had your prostate examined recently? By a medical professional, we mean!
In a move from the Matt Lauer prostate exam playbook, Andy Milovich (pictured), general manager of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans minor league baseball team, has agreed to have his prostate massaged, er, examined whilst singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” before a live audience, UPI reports.
The reason? To promote prostate cancer awareness, of course.
But there’s a catch.

The exam will happen during the Pelicans game on Thursday if and only if the Facebook page of 10-year-old Fallon Emery, a local girl who has brain cancer, gets 10,000 “likes” before game time. The page currently has 9,750 “likes,” which means only 250 or so are still needed.
“If what we do saves a kid from having to lose his or her father because they get checked out, this will be worth it,” Milovich told ESPN.
In addition to the Milovich getting finger banged for a good cause, 1,000 foam fingers with blue ribbons on them will be handed out to spectators.
But for those of you hoping to catch a front row glimpse of Milovich with his legs in the air, think again.
“It’s not like I would be getting it at home plate,” he said. “I’ll likely do it from our radio booth and the fans will see me from the shoulder up.”
Damn.

Not sure why this article was written with such a snarky, “it’s like he’s getting finger-banged!” tone. Is the author still in 7th grade??
We’re talking about prostate cancer. Making men–gay or straight–have to deal with the tired stigma that getting this kind of check-up = sexy time! is really counterproductive.

I had a sonogram done of my prostate and the lady nurse ramming the device in there certainly knew nothing about foreplay. I wanted to punch her.
