Am I missing something here? I really know very little about Lance Bass other than he is gay and was once part of a boy band. He may not be the best looking guy around, but he's certainly not ugly. So why does there seem to be so much hate/anger tossed his way by the gay community? Why is there apparently so much joy when this kid gets jilted or jilts someone? Is he really that much of a creep, or do many of us just revel in other peoples misfortune?

Honey, what are you talking about? There's very little hate/anger tossed Lance's way. The gay community is just frustrated with him because he seems to be the gay equivalent of Britney Spears: a dumb hillbilly who smiles and chomps on gum while dating good-looking losers who are very obviously using him for fame and money.
