Battling On…

“The issue of same-sex marriage is slated to be a hot topic at the Kern County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday. A local group asked the board to create a local ordinance making same-sex marriage illegal in the county. However, county officials denied the request because state law trumps local law and gay marriage is legal in the state.” [KERO-23]

I mean, really? REALLY? People aren’t even taught basic civics in this country any more enough to know that state law trumps local law — and they wanted to create an ordinace.

Once again…. REAALLY????
