Be Out at work in NYC

Gay and jobless? Thursday’s Out to Work is the second annual career fair targeted to the LGBT Community in NYC. “In this troubled economy and uncertain times, employment, especially employment in an LGBT supportive company, becomes more important.” Dirk McCall, Executive Director, Greenwich Village -Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, told me this afternoon. They’ve gotten over 48 companies exhibiting, so bring your resume and find a job.

Wow, this sounds like an awesome initiative. I wonder if similar things might come off in cities out West (waves Flag of Current Job Discontent from Seattle).
