Bear Dreams Come True For Top Chef‘s Tom Colicchio (Update: Or Not)

Complaining, jokingly, on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live about never being asked to take part in a bear event, Top Chef co-host Tom Colicchio, who is straight, has been asked to ride on a bear float in L.A. Pride next year. He’s accepted the invitation. Shooting schedule permitted, we assume.

Update: Yep, scheduling got in the way.

Sorry, but Tom Colicchio makes my radar go off.

He couldn’t be more handsome and physically appealing, but after watching a couple seasons of Top Chef, I think he’s a dull boy and not much fun. He’s not very helpful to the contestants either, the way Tim Gunn tries to be. On the other hand, his parade appearance suggests that he’s confidently str8 because those who aren’t don’t play with us. Switching channels, those home improvement/carpentry shows have some stunning men I’d love to see in our parades. Have you seen Bill Goldberg on Garage Mahal? Or Ahmed Hassan on Yard Crashers? Gulp.

I think he’s more of a moose. He could also totally be Anderson Cooper’s older brother.

@homask- he is not there to mentor. He is a judge, and he goes in to see what the cooking process is and how contestants are working, keeping composure, etc. He is looking at cooking habits, and to see how what went on in prep turns up in the final dish. So his role is different from tim Gunns.
