Bevan Dufty’s Cute Daughter Fails To Win Him S.F. Mayoral Election

Openly gay San Francisco mayoral candidate Bevan Dufty featured his ridiculously adorable daughter Sidney in his campaign ad, but it didn’t win him the election. As of this morning Dufty earned less than four percent of the vote, missing his chance to be the city’s first openly gay mayor. Of course, more than 12 people were running for the office. If Sidney had run for most adorable child on YouTube, she totally would have won.

He lost because there is simply nothing the guy brings to the
table other than being gay.

I think I heard some ridiculous comment that he would redesign
the muni cars to be more cheerful???

Bevan is a joke as a gay politician. Bring something meaningful
to the community and perhaps youd win some votes.

^Agree with John. Dufty is no more than a milquetoast machine politician in activist’s clothing. He’s no Harry Britt. Finally, even a lot of the gay community got bored with him.
