Billionaire businessman Ron Burkle hosted a "No on 8" event at his Beverly Hills mansion last night. A slew of celebrities were there, including Mary J. Blige and Melissa Etheridge. The even raked in $3.9 million, including $100,000 from San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom. [Towleroad]

No on HATE in Cali but seems the homophobic Yays will win in Florida and Arizona. Is HRC still having an early Champagne brunch to celebrate all "their" victories?

I love Gavin Newsom, and not just because he is hot. He has supported our cause through thick and thin to his detriment. He is a real leader and I hope one day Governor of California.
