How much will all the lawyers make when those same gays aching to get married start standing in the same line 50% of hetero couples are in—the divorce line?
Misery loves company.
That's only $7708 per wedding, that sounds a little on the low side considering.
I highly doubt 50% of CA gays will marry, nowhere near that percentage has married in MA. However, legions of homos from around the country will descend on CA to marry since they don't have a residency requirement like in MA. I think it'll add up to billions for the CA economy.
