Bill-O & John Stewart Talk About The Gays

Oh look, Bill O’Reilley was on The Daily Show last night! Like every one of Bill-O’s appearances with Stewart, the two banter on about how neither of them understand the true, beating heart of the country and pretending that their seething contempt for each other is just the funniest thing since George Burns & Gracie Allen. Bill would be Gracie, of course.

So what makes this one different from all the rest? Well, they talk about the gays! Actually, Stewart talks about the gays and O’Reilley is silent because he’s caught between his rabid fan base and the guy who styles his hairpiece. Anyway, it’s funny. Also, Bill O’Reilley doesn’t know what a panda bear is. Seriously, go see.

Bad editorial start when you misspell the names of your featured individuals. Bill O’Reilly. No “E” before that final “Y”

I try not to hold strong opinions about meaningless things, but I strongly object to you saying, “Bill would be Gracie.” Having enjoyed their shows for years through local public radio, I LOVE George Burns & Gracie Allen. It’s a slur on her good name and outstanding abilities to link her to that idiot. Remember: Gracie was really the smart one! If ‘O’Really’ is like anyone from old time radio, I propose Fibber McGee.

It seems to me that American gays are largely to blame for their own misfortune. Where was the outrage and sense of urgency in the days leading up to the election? Too busy stuffing drugs up your nose and making bitchy comments about other people’s shoes I guess. What is the point of demonstrations after an election? Why didn’t hundreds of thousands of you march before the vote on Prop 8???? Talk about closing the gate after the horses have escaped! I live in Canada and I vividly remember when hundreds of thousands of us took the streets of Toronto in those seemingly hopeless days of the early 90s. It took so many years of brutal struggle to gain the equality that we have today in Canada. American gays just don’t seem to have the fight in them that Canadian gays used to have.

Thank you Ronnie for that constructive comment. I guess canada just breeds a better quality of fag. Am I the only one getting tired of hearing from snotty self-righteous canadians? By the way, your shoes suck.

“Panda bear” is redundant, like saying “tuna fish”. It is, simply, a “panda”.

Uhm, Canadian Cousin? One major reason we weren’t protesting before is that nobody in their right mind would have expected Prop 8 to pass there in California. As it is, even with all that money from the Mormon (and other) churches, it just barely passed.

BTW, though I’m anything but a typical social homo, I found the stereotyping more than a little offensive. Keep the drug and shoes crap to yourself before I knock the snot out of your Cannuck ass. We were wrestling for Top.:P

I was in Florida at the time, and found Prop 2 far or offensive and hateful, for that it went beyond banning gay marriage and actually made it unlawful to grant equal benefits to civil unions — even between heterosexuals.

It’s long past time for the Federal government to begin protecting our Civil Rights, and enforcing Equal Protection.
