“Is bisexuality even a real thing?”
“Do you think that bisexuals have more threesomes than the average person does?”
“If you get married to a man, are you still bisexual?”
BuzzFeed‘s resident group of queer vloggers sat down to chat about the absurd questions bisexual people are constantly asked by their gay counterparts. Topics ranged from dating and relationships, to promiscuity, to marriage.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

I dated a bisexual guy once. For a while I was feeling very serious about him. We drifted for reasons unrelated to his sexuality — at least, as far as I know. He was convinced that I was bisexual too, but, no I’m gay.

@darkanser: “…He was convinced that I was bisexual too,..” Why???

Stupid comments bisexuals say, i.e. wasted…on men; and straight women don’t want a man who takes dick! Makes sense to me.
Brian
Bisexual is a misleading word because it suggests that sexual attraction is divided equally between the sexes. Most of the time it isn’t.
Also, I’m opposed to the use of the word bisexual in identity politics because it suggests that’s the only thing about you. People need to stop identifying themselves as a bedroom activity.

“Do you think that bisexuals have more threesomes than the average person does?”
If only.

Using the word “sex” in the name of orientation is misleading. Orientation is about emotional bonds – “Bisexuals” can fall in love/ form strong romantic bonds with either gender/ Gay folks form them with their own gender and the ever unbent form them with the opposite. No matter where one gets his or her jollies when uninvolved

@mokuhulu:
So when a straight guy goes and hires a prostitute its all about an emotional bond?
Give it a rest.

Orientation is about which gender turns you on sexually. It has nothing to do with love or emotion.

Aside from “Is bisexuality even a real thing?” (which is almost always asked with the sole purpose of being antagonizing), I don’t find these questions stupid or absurd. I’ve even wondered some of the same things, and I’m bisexual. People learn by asking questions and getting answers. I would just answer honestly. People who ask questions out of genuine curiosity will get answers, and people who ask questions just to antagonize don’t know what to do when you just answer sans the outrage they were hoping to get. Win/win.

Hopefully, you’re just 14 and clueless?

It’s not wasted if you swallow! — I inhaled my coffee laughing.

No, I am 55 and definitely not cluless – the article is talking about orientation not functionality. I have had sex with women – does that make me straight ? F No. My brother has had sex with guys does that make him gay NO I am gay he is straight. Period

@mokuhulu: “…My brother has had sex with guys…” Your brother is about as straight as you. Period! Glad that’s cleared up.

@mokuhulu: Self hating people like to accuse everyone else of being the same sexuality as themselves so they feel like they make up a greater part of the population. Gay men always say bi men are gay or straight, bi men always say everyone is bi unless they’ve /never/ had sex with the opposite sex. We both know that’s total bullshit. If someone says they’re gay, they’re gay. If someone says they’re bi, they’re bi. People need to stop labeling each other to fuel their own misguided complacency.
People like enlightenone are just silly teenagers that haven’t lived a day in the world yet.

@mokuhulu: LMAO your brother is not “Straight” but you’re just a bigoted hypocritical gay man who doesn’t understand bisexuality.
