Bishop Blasts Paterson, Gay Nups

wmurphy.jpg
New York Bishop William Murphy does not appreciate Governor David Paterson’s gay marriage push:

In a column in The Long Island Catholic, Murphy suggested the governor was “subverting the democratic process” because he issued the order without consulting the state Senate or Assembly, or the public in general.

“Sexual intimacy between persons of the same sex does not pass muster,” Murphy wrote in the newspaper of the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Homosexual relationships “do not serve the common good. They cannot do so because they contradict biological teleology and the natural law.”

Obviously Murphy’s unaware that same-sex desire exists among other species, not just the “Biblically-backed” humans.

More importantly, he doesn’t realize that I have no obligation to show that my relationship “serves the common good.” Religion, meet secular constitutional government.

Damn right, JAKE! Self loathing prick indeed. I had to look up teleology to understand what he meant. So many big words, so little brain!

Another member of that well-known international pedophile ring, the Roman Catholic Church, tells us we are immoral.

I think discriminating churches should have their tax-free status revoked!

This porcine old retard is missing the point. He’s already lost. Recent polls clearly show that even in a country infested with priests, imams rabbis, mullahs, preachers and pastors the majority opinion is beginning to swing our way.

That’s due in large part to the fact that most people have a healthier understanding of the utter decadence of these cults after years of ever widening sex scandals and sexual abuse scandals. It’s hard to have respect for priests while these unspeakably corrupt men are repeatedly caught raping young boys and girls.

Praise the Lard! And watch for his big, pink, overstuffed head to explode in 5… 4… 3… 2…

How many pedophile “Catholic” priests did he covered up for? I’d love to ask him.

I’m a Catholic and who attends a gay friendly parish in NYC (not his diocese) and I hate this guy.
He is moronic, quoting out-of-date Thomistic theology (“biological teleology and natural law”) which he either doesn’t believe or is too stupid to know no one believes anymore. JP II didn’t even talk in Thomistic termnology.
And rumor has it that he is a big old closet case although I wonder who’d want to have sex with him.

FOr once, I agree with the posters here. The Catholic Church has taken a beating with the pedophile issue; and that raises the issue of integrity with regard to his writings/thoughts.

And, Phillip, you very astutely noted: “Praise the Lard (sic)! And watch for his big, pink, overstuffed head to explode in 5… 4… 3… 2…” In this regard, the dear Father reminds me of that damned Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, whose death is long overdue. Read my previous posts in the archives to learn why I detest Teddy and that senile colleague of his – the Grand Wizard Sen. Robert C. Byrd.

Porcine? You’re much too kind…and classy. I’d call him what he is. A fat pig.

What he consumes in one day, would probably feed a starving family in India for a week.

Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins. He’s living proof of it.
