Catholic Bishop Bernardo Alvarez of Teneriffa doesn’t have very nice things to say about the gays:
“Homosexuality harms society, and we will pay for it,” he said, adding that most homosexuals lived out their sexual leanings as if they were addicts.
The bishop further stated that there are minors who desired sexual abuse and even sought it out. “If one isn’t careful, they could even provoke it,” Alvarez said. “Sexuality is more complicated than one suspects.”
The bishop’s office, for the record, claims Alvarez’s comments were taken out of context. We’d love to hear that context!

I bet the context was: “Priests who abuse little boys are not to blame.”

Exactly, SubtleKnife–“because those little boys provoked the poor priests.” If you only knew how many times as a therapist, how often I’ve heard variations of that, mostly from older straight men who have abused young girls.

Take gay men out of the priesthood, and you’ve got a crowd smaller than the one that showed up for Jessica Simpson’s movie.

Anyone who views change as “harmful” to society has a narrow view. He is right on a couple of points , but fails to mention sexual repression being the probable cause for the addictive behavior. He is dead on with the second though “Sexuality is more complicated than one suspects.â€

Wow he should give up raping little boys and run for government office in some red state. He’s obviously only talking about himself cause he sure isn’t talking about me or most of the guys I know.
