Black Eyes In Madison
Samuel Edwards, 22, was arrested in Madison for punching a patron and a bouncer at Club 5, a local gay club. Edwards reportedly made negative remarks about gay people before punching a 20 year-old in the eye. When the bouncer tried to stop him, Edwards punched him in the eye as well. He has been charged with battery. No word on his motivations for the crime.
Mental illness is usually the motivator of hate crimes, in this case homophobia. Remember, that it is a recognized psychotic disorder and when coupled with substance abuse (if drunk) can have violent outcomes. This person needs treatment, even if permanently interred at a pyschiatric facility. If just venting, then prison will sort him out and Bubba can’t wait!
