Queerty is better as a member
Oh, sorry, reverend—did you get discriminated against? That must sting. We can’t possibly imagine what it’s like to be marginalized by anti-gay groups. Guess you hit that nail on the head. Bravo Queerty! Couldn’t have said it better myself.
PASTOR, MY ASS. Kenny, you better figure out your obsession with homosexuality and homosexuals before you become the next Eddie Long.
@hf2hvit: Who’s to say he isn’t already?
The fact that he calls NOM and Focus on the FAmily’s opinions MODERATE tells you all you need to know.
This is the same guy that asked the Organist at Seattle First Baptist (SFB) Church if his sermon, which Ken had just preformed a wedding at SBFC, would have gone over with the SFB Church members. In the sermon, Ken told the wife of the couple, she had to obey her husband. You know, like she could not tell right from wrong and needed her husband direction on how to think and act in the everyday world. Sorry Ken, your view point on Gays, Heterosexuals and Marriage would never go over with the people at SFB Church or most of the progressive people here in Seattle.
Well according to Ken, if you needed heart surgery you should go to a High School Janitor because they know how to clean floors. He thinks just because he a linebacker in the NFL, he is a Theologian.
I don’t know about you, but if I needed heart surgery I would want someone who knows anatomy and got a MD in medicine and surgery before I would ever let them near me. Continuing on this thought, just because Ken played a linebacker in the NFL, it just makes him an overpaid football player, not a Theologian. I guess what I am saying is if I needed some Theology, I would want someone who actually had some major education on the subject, not someone who may got their brain smashed all over the grid iron. Plus, I would want their thoughts and opinions scrutinized by the theological community before I start buying into this guys empty dogma. What’s sad is he’s not the only right wing nut here in Seattle. We have had some from Mars Hill that have come out and said basically women should be at barefoot, pregnant, and at home, which ignores the part in the Old Testament where a woman not only managed her home but went out and bought and sold property and made money (you know ‘man’ stuff).
