Blow Back?
“Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will likely meet later this week with Joe Lieberman to discuss whether the Democrat-turned-Independent will be stripped of his Senate committee chairmanship, a senior Democratic leadership aide tells CNN. Lieberman currently chairs the Senate’s Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. This aide says that Reid, who is calling the meeting, has not yet decided what to do…The biggest factor involved is lingering anger among Senate Democrats over Lieberman’s Republican convention speech.” [CNN]
Lieberman SHOULD be stripped of his Senate committee chairmanship. he has played BOTH sides against the middle and he is finally caught. he is the WORST TYPE of Politician. He mascots what ever group he thinks he could go further with and he’s been very shrewd but this time he mistepped. There are more than enough Dems now to take over his Comittees.
Liberman is a failed leader. His GOP endorsement only proves he’s a career politician of the whoriest kind. He’s a disgrace to both the Jewish people and his constituency and I hope he chokes.
Take it away and give him an office in the basement.
I believe Harry Reid will do what is right.
I’d like to see some conciliatory gestures – a republican or two in the cabinet. But the case of Lieberman is different. He’s a back-stabbing bitch.
Lieberman has made it clear which side of the aisle his “independent” ass belongs on, evidenced by his RNC speech, his anti-Obama statements during the campaign, and his constant hovering over McCain’s shoulder as his BFF. Harry Reid should NOT let this turncoat hold on to any committee chairs, especially now that the Dem’s majority doesn’t depend on the little jerk.
