I guess it's rude to speak ill of the dead, so um, well then, there's really not much to say. Later, hater.

He spoke ill of us while he was living, an arch homophobe who often dehumanize us. Good riddance, one less bigot to deal with!

My religious frenemies say these things always happen in threes. Please, please, please, let Pat Buchanan and Rush Limbaugh be next.

The old media is full of these hot house flowers. It is such a strange bestiary, like a lost world haunted by pale, interesting and definitely endangered species. I think when they're all gone, we'll miss them, regardless of their particular angle on issues. My personal favorites remain Dick Cavett and John Waters. Both gay, and both totally non-judgmental in their obsession with their species. Novak clearly had his weird sides, but he played the part without any faux resentment of his detractors. Which in a strange way is kind of honorable. Old school. When its all gone, we'll be diminished.

This is where the Lollypop guild comes out of the shrubs and starts singing to the Friends of Dorothy.

@ Dick Mills,

O'Reilly had better be on that list too!

@Dennis:

Np, the admonition is to only speak good of the dead.

Robert Novak is dead. Good.

I'd like to see the following follow suit: Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage, Rush Limbaugh, Patrick Buchanan and others not involved with the media….Pat Robertson, Lon Mabon, Don Wildman, James Dobson, Joel Olsteen, Rick Warren, Ruben Diaz, the Ex-gay ministry leaders and those leaders of the religious cults who oppose, denigrate and dehumanize us. A fantasy yes, but what a lovely one.

Amen, Robert! As for Bob Novak-as Gary Sinise said on CSI:NY-"Rot in Hell, you son of a bitch!".
