Bonus Aural: Raconteurs, Annie and Spring Mix
We’re on aural overload here! Jack White’s side project, The Raconteurs released a new album and video, “Salute Your Solution,” which we’ve included above.
In other music news, Swedish Norwegian sweetheart Annie leaked her new single, “I Know Your Girlfriend Hates Me.” It’s hot, of course.
And, finally, the fashionable kids over at Refinery29 collected sixteen essential spring tracks, including Air France’s “On Trade Winds” and MGMT’s “Oracular Spectacular.”
White’s not prototypically ‘queer’ music, but I think we should be glad to accept anyone with talent (and to hell with the posers, no?)
But did anyone else see the screengrab for the vid–a tattooed hand playing piano–and think ‘Diamanda Galás?’
Jack White is collaborating with Brendan Benson. I would highly recommend his CD, “One Mississippi” from 2005. It has some really freaky shit on it.
