“Jeff Kent, who played second base for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season, has stepped into the emotional world of same-sex marriage, giving $15,000 to backers of the California proposition on Tuesday’s ballot that would ban it.” [LA Times]
I hope that baseball fans pressure any team that considers signing him into NOT hiring the homophobe. He is a free agent now. Of course that probably wouldn’t happen, since sport is still the one of the most homophobic part of our society, second only to religion and the military.

Besides his snotty self serving attitude, I knew there would be a more substantial reason not to like this jack ass. I’m glad he’s retiring next season, he was a complete drag.

some burnt out jock, has about as much political clout as the guy who picks up your garbage can…pffft
How many meals for the homeless could have been provided with this money?
A jock giving money for an anti-gay ballot. Colour me surprised.

A-Rod, meet A-Hole.
Loser. In more ways than one, considering my Phillies kick his Dodgers’ asses.
Bring the Dodgers back to Brooklyn where they belong but leave Jeff Kunt behind (he’s soooo ugly!)
If its any solace, Barry Bonds punched him in the face when he played for the SF Giants. He always was a prick then and especially now.
Actually, that does make me feel better,
Thanks Tom

Yeah, people who stand behind their convictions are just so terrible.
Bravo for Jeff Kent, even if he is a Dodger.
