Bothersome Gay Activists Didn’t Make Obama’s ‘Worst Parts of Presidency’ List

His daughters. Snooki. His iPod playlist. Job losses. Economic recovery. Lots of things were discussed on The View today, but nobody brought up the president’s insistence on marriage inequality and his stalled effort to repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Which, hey, that’s fine. Nobody thought the first View interview with a sitting president was going to have much substance. Including Rosie O’Donnell. Even Sherri Shepherd didn’t manage to embarrass herself, and really, isn’t that the ultimate win?

Regarding QUEERTY’s comment that “nobody brought up the president’s insistence on marriage inequality,” maybe nobody brought it up because President Obama is opposed to DOMA ( http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2009/08/17/obama_makes_explicit_his_objec.html if someone needs a citation).

Then there’s Maggie Gallagher’s rant in the National Review, which you can read at http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=N2JlYzNmZTI0M2EyOWYzZjk5NTU4YjVjNjEzYWQ4YmY= — it seems that Maggie thinks the Obama administration’s Department of Justice is trying to sabotage the defense of DOMA.

It sounds to me like, no matter what he does, someone will blame him, possibly both sides at once with each claiming he is doing the opposite.

Wow, Obama is really opening himself up to some tough questioning. First, MSNBC, now The View. Next stop it will be David Letterman or Jay Leno.

How about hearing 2 or 3 questions (not just one) on DADT? Or, maybe a few questions about ENDA?

B, I see what you’re saying. But, Obama can claim that he favors repeal of DOMA, just as he can claim that he’s a fierce advocate for LGBT equality. But, what is he doing about it? Obama is defending DOMA and DADT vs. fighting for legislative changes and repeals. If a president really believes in something, he’ll push to have the laws changed. Obama is stalling, defending and only making minor administrative changes.

Obama has made it clear that he does not favor marriage equality. That should be a clear indication of his views of the LGBT community and how hard he’ll work for equality.

In regards to Maggie Gallagher, anyone can say anything in order to deflect from reality. She just doesn’t want to admit reality.

No. 3 · CJ wrote, “B, I see what you’re saying. But, Obama can claim that he favors repeal of DOMA, just as he can claim that he’s a fierce advocate for LGBT equality.” Well, hopefully there will be a definitive test fairly soon – once a repeal gets through the House and Senate, we’ll see if Obama signs it.

If he doesn’t sign it (a simple bill repealing DOMA, not one with “rider” amendment that deserves a veto), that would constitute proof that he didn’t really want a repeal. Why not withhold judgment for a while – until we have that data?

While Obama stated that he is not personally comfortable with same-sex marriages, he also opposed Proposition Eight, calling it divisive. Given his background in law, he should be well aware of the difference between personal opinion or feelings (which in his case might have reflected what some voters wanted) and what the law should be. It was actually a useful message, although the “No on Eight” side didn’t exploit it – just because you feel uncomfortable about something doesn’t mean that something should be illegal.

@B: Obama’s oppositon to DOMA is as fake as his DADT compromise and as real as his fear of spearheading the passage of ENDA.

Just another tawdry example of ‘Fierce Defenders’ usual lies. What do you expect from Rick Warrens bbf.

“I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now for me as a Christian, it’s also a sacred union, God’s in the mix.” This is Obama’s real opinion and it was followed by huge waves of applause at Rick Warren’s bigotfest just before the 2008 election, although people who saw it say he got a cooler reception when he repeated his ugly bigotry on MTV.

ebar

Obama, who used to support same sex marraige until he figured out he needed bigot votes to get ahead now flaunts his bigotry and superstition every chance he gets. I suppose I’d start to worry if he said things like:

“`What role does faith play?’ I say, `It plays every role.'”

“I just want all of you to pray that I can be an instrument of God….”

“I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth.”

And most revealing of all: “My job is to try to draw a connection between the values that I express to the church and the challenges and issues that we face in politics.” He does that with a vengeance.

Quotes thanks to correntewire.

Obama sabotaged our chances to retain same sex marriage in California.

I think the important questions were asked. The biggest challenges this country faces is our economy and wars. If the former is not corrected this country will rip itself to shreds from the seams and if the latter is not performed correctly we face more attacks from our enemies and the loss of life of some of our most loyal citizens. Those are the type of issues on the forefront of peoples minds. If you go to Washington there are hundreds of groups protesting all wanting different things, with all the major things such as education and infrastructure I think this community should be pleased not satiated with how much attention this administration has given us. The goal is full equality and we should strive for that but we shouldn’t let that blind us from the truth that this is the most supportive and active administration on GBLT equality that has ever been in office. That is something that no one can deny regardless of where they land on the political spectrum.

Unsubstantiated conjecture on your part. As I said, we’ll find out if/when Congress passes legislation repealing DOMA and/or DADT,
or when Congress passes ENDA. Obama is the president, not a dictator – he can’t force Congress to pass anything. He can ask, but we are better off if he asks privately – your representatives are more likely to bump the priority up if they are the ones getting a lot of the credit.

After Obama’s long and proven record of as an enemy of the LGBT communities, beginning with his sabotage of same sex marriage in California it’s untrue to say, as ‘B’ does that “It really doesn’t hurt to wait before criticizing him…” It does great harm to excuse our enemies and to be silent in the face of the odious bigotry if Obama and their brother-cousins the Republicans.

“To sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men.” Abraham Lincoln

You’ve put out a series of unsubstantiated statements about Obama, some obviously false and others mere opinion. Obama as a candidate did not “sabotage” same-sex marriage in California – he called Proposition Eight “divisive” after stating that personally he thought marriage should be between a man and a women, thus recommending voting against it regardless of personal feelings about marriage. Other than that single statement, he stayed out of it – obviously with a financial meltdown in progress, it would have been a poor tactic to make his presidential campaign a national referendum on same-sex marriage when the Republicans were positioned to take the blame for the economy.

Please, tell us how is this unsubstantiated; I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now for me as a Christian, it’s also a sacred union, God’s in the mix.” And remeber, no dissembling.

That statement by Obama wrecked same sex marraige in California. It was broadcast and disseminated on national media and cost us the election. He repeated it on MTV. He’s a functional bigot and an enemy of GLBT folks. None of your excuses or leagel eagle wheedling can erase the truth. It’s overwhelming.

His ‘recommendation’ to vote against 8 for tacitical reasons, because DOMA was already on the books came in a letter sent to a breakfast meeting of Demobots and Democrats in SF and it had minimal impact on the election. The proof; we lost unexpectedly and unnecessarily after leading in the Field Poll all summer.

My advice to you is to seriously consider the words of Lincoln and Rustin above and these words:

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!” Sam Adams, City of Boston, August 1st, 1776

In No. 13 · Bill Perdue repeated his lies about “dissembling” because he doesn’t like the truth. Aside from that, he asks, “Please, tell us how is this unsubstantiated; I believe that marriage is the union between a man and a woman. Now for me as a Christian, it’s also a sacred union, God’s in the mix.”

Simple – just look at http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/16/warren.forum/ about an event both Obama and McCain attended, in which both were interviewed for an hour by Rick Warren: “Warren pressed Obama on two hot-button issues among social conservatives: abortion and same-sex marriage.” (Note the word “pressed” – Obama was not trying to make this the topic of discussion.) Continuing, “When asked to define marriage, he told Warren, ‘It’s a union between a man and a woman.’ ‘For me as a Christian, it is a sacred union. God’s in the mix,’ he said. Obama added that he does support same-sex civil unions, saying, ‘I can afford those civil rights to others even if I don’t have … that view.'” It’s wishy-washy, but he was clearly indicating that his alleged personal views (possibly what his audience wanted to hear) are not excuses for legislation.

Meanwhile, according to http://www.wilshireandwashington.com/2008/11/obama-and-propo.html Obama, in a letter to the San Francisco’s Alice B. Toklas Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Democratic Club, Obama opposed Proposition Eight, calling it a “the divisive and discriminatory efforts to amend the California constitution” and also opposed similar attempts at discrimination in other states. Also, on MTV (national audience), when asked about Proposition Eight, Obama said, “I think it’s unnecessary. I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage. But when you start playing around with constitutions, just to prohibit somebody who cares about another person, it just seems to me that’s not what America’s about. Usually, our constitutions expand liberties, they don’t contract them.”

And as some advise to Bill Perdue, he should stop dissembling – it is what he does. The truth is simply that Obama was basically silent on Proposition Eight, opposing it but also indicating personal discomfort with same-sex marriage. But he also clearly stated that personal opinion or personal religious belief is not the basis for what goes in a constitution. As he said, “our constitutions expand liberties, they don’t contract them.”

Obama most likely didn’t want to talk about same-sex marriage at all during the campaign – there was an economic meltdown sitting there ready to be hung around the necks of Republicans and the last thing he would have wanted to do was to provide the Republicans with a diversion. If he didn’t want to talk about it, he sure as hell would not go around trying to sabotage the campaign against Proposition Eight – that would have been counterproductive given his highest priority at the time – getting elected.

@adman: From what I’ve seen on the site B is not a Blue Dog he is to the left of that, Bill is to the left of the Democratic Party, and I am to the center-right on some issues and somewhere on the left spectrum on most. I believe in realism, deal making, and getting results even if things aren’t just like I want them. The Blue Dogs are part of the Democratic coalition, nothing would be able to get done if they were not around right now. Face it a run of the mill democrat wouldn’t be able to get elected to a blue dog seat, it is hard for a blue dog to get elected to a blue dog seat, we live in a center-right country and that is the reality. The blue dogs come kicking and screaming, but they come. The GOP doesn’t move a muscle, the country is on fire the GOP rather let it burn if it will get them into power even though their holding nearly the other half of the water to put the fire out. Politics has always been about negotiation, it is as true as our democracy. The problem of the last decade or so is things have gotten so ugly with personal hatred ginned up by the Limbaugh’s and the Maddow’s of the world that negotiation and common scene have been spurned. Now to get the simplest thing through congress like approving a mid level appointee has become nearly impossible. The same incivility that you are showing in your post is what is destroying our country. If you can’t be civil in a disagreement than there will be no negotiated solution and you will be stuck in a brainless endless war like Israel and Palestine were everyone loses badly. It is time to face reality we live in a democracy and the majority rules, the democrats are just trying to navigate the best they can in GOP favoring waters, which requires negotiation. If you want a different result you have to change America then you will change the politicians.

Even DADT would’ve been a lost cause had Obama gotten his way, and the vote to repeal had been held over until next year. Looks to me like you are one of those people who think they can improve a situation by shooting the messenger.

What I did was to describe what Obama was most likely doing during a presidential campaign – trying to win. He had every reason (given a goal of winning an election) to minimize a discussion of same-sex marriage: if he made a big deal of opposing it, he’d piss off people on the left but would get hardly any votes from the extreme right-wing. If he made a big deal in supporting same-sex marriages, he wouldn’t get many additional votes on the left (he was the obvious choice given the alternative) but he’d piss off the right-wing to the point that they might come out in larger numbers to vote against him. Plus an argument about it would allow the Republicans to talk about something other than the thing they most wanted to avoid – the economic meltdown, which is what most voters were concerned with.

If Obama is against DOMA and for EDNA in name only as you say, then he’ll veto the bills if they ever cross his desk. What I was pointing out is that whether or not he vetoes bills repealing DOMA or passing EDNA is a good test of his intentions.

‘B’ is compounding his lies and his pathetic crybaby whining. What else is new. His myriad critics respond when he lies and the fact that there are so many responses is testimony to amount of lying he does. I can’t think of anyone except Bill O’Reilly or that tub of rancid lard Limbaugh who lies so often about so many things.

And he’s lying again about Prop 8. It was defeated by a combination of Obama’s rampant and widely broadcast bigotry – ‘gawd’s in the mix’ – at euroamerican southern baptist friendly churches and the news media and on MTV, the fatal Eurocentrism of No on 8 and the use of Obama’s bigotry by Yes on 8. That’s all proven without question by the polls.

‘B’s pretense of knowing what Obama was thinking and doing is worthy of the analytical abilities of Jerry Springer but it doesn’t hold water in the real world.

Obama was an avid supporter, not an opponent of Bush’s TARP handouts to the rich. He spent the whole weekend before it passed twisting the arms of reluctant Democrats who didn’t want to be implicated in this massive theft of tax payments of workers and consumers. The public outcry against TARP was so great that they shut down the phones and turned off the fax machines.

No. 25 · Bill Perdue is repeating his lies, which is apparently all he is capable of doing. The fact is that Obama stayed out of the Proposition Eight campaign – he was running for president and winning the election was his top priority, which should be obvious to anyone. Perdue is dishonestly ignoring the citations I provided in No 14: http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/16/warren.forum/ (which describes interviews with Rick Warren of both Obama and McCain) and http://www.wilshireandwashington.com/2008/11/obama-and-propo.html (which includes what he actually said on MTV). Neither source agrees with Bill Perdue’s claims and as far as I’m concerned, Perdue has zero credibility.

Perdue also pretends that pointing out the obvious – that Obama was trying to win a presidential election – takes some supernatural(?) ability. Perdue is confusing an analysis based on the assumption of self-interest, with mind reading, no doubt because Perdue is not capable of any sort of analysis.

The facts are that same sex marriage was defeated by Obama’s rampant and widely broadcast bigotry – ‘gawd’s in the mix’ – at euroamerican southern baptist friendly churches, widely reported in the news media and on MTV where he said ‘I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage.‘. Contributing factors were the ineptitude and eurocentrism of No on 8 and the huge media campaign by Yes on 8 that repeated Obama’s bigotry to millions. The impact of Obama’s bigotry is proven without question by the polls.

‘B’s citation of an opinion piece by CNN is not accidental. CNN is the ‘news’ service that first lied about the African American vote on Prop 8, cooking the stats and exciting racist sentiment. They claimed, on the basis of unexamined data that 70% of African Americans voted for Prop 8. That’s a lie. ‘B’ does the same thing when he cooks the stats to excite racist animosity. Instead of looking at the overall effect of the small African American vote as part of to the total vote for Prop 8, which was 52.1% of the electorate, he wants to judge it as part of 2% of the electorate, exaggerating to promote racist divisions in our community and between communities.

Google: Facts Belie the Scapegoating of Black People for Proposition 8 by shanikka at Daily Kos Fri Nov 07, 2008
29–31 October 2008[123]

The polls show us narrowly winning as late as October.
SurveyUSA – 47% yes 50% no / 18–28 October 2008 / ±4%
The Field Poll – 44% yes 49% no / October 2008 / ±3.3%
PPIC – 44% yes 52% no / October 2008 / ±3%

Then came the media barrage by Yes on 8 highlighting Obama’s bigotry and then came the bitter, unnecessary and unexpected defeat for same sex marriage.

In No 27, Bill Perdue lied again and made a fool of himself with yet another conspiracy theory in which he claimed, “‘B’s citation of an opinion piece by CNN is not accidental. CNN is the ‘news’ service that first lied about the African American vote on Prop 8, cooking the stats and exciting racist sentiment.”

Fact: CNN is a widely respected news service and is not “racist” and not into “exciting racist sentiment”. One exit poll (The National Election Pool [NEP] exit poll) put the Black vote at 70%. CNN may have reported that poll, but it reported it as news. At worst, CNN simply accepted the results at face value.

What happened is very simple – random or systematic errors resulted in a number that was way too high: the actual African American vote for Proposition Eight was around 58% (see http://www.ncsu.edu/stud_affairs/glbt/pdfs/Prop%208%20Report.pdf which attributes the excess 8% to frequent attendance at religious services, not to race or ethnicity). This report states:

“while African Americans did support the measure at higher rates than voters as a whole, we have strong reason to think that their support was not as high as that estimated by the National Election Pool (NEP) exit poll (70 percent). Analysis of the full range of data available persuades us that the NEP exit poll
overestimated African American support for Proposition 8 by ten percentage points or more. Furthermore, much of African Americans’ support for Proposition 8 can be explained by the fact that blacks tend to be more religious than Californians as a whole.

“• Surveys conducted just before and just after Election Day found much smaller differences in support for Proposition 8 between African Americans and voters as a whole than did the NEP exit poll. The NEP result should thus be treated as an outlier that overstates black support for Proposition 8.”

Occasionally (rarely but with nonzero probability) a poll will produce results that are off by several times the margin of error. That may have been what happened in the NEP poll. In addition, http://www.ncsu.edu/stud_affairs/glbt/pdfs/Prop%208%20Report.pdf notes that racially homogeneous precincts (it didn’t matter what race it was) tended to support Proposition Eight more than racially diverse precints. If the NEP poll used predominantly black precincts, that would create a systematic bias in the poll, one that NEP was probably not aware of.

So, Bill Perdue is staying true to form – he’s throwing out completely bogus charges of “racism” because he can’t come up with a legitimate argument. Doing that, of course, promotes hatred and animosity – just what we don’t need. Remember, racially diverse precincts tended to vote against Proposition Eight more than racially homogeneous ones. The last thing we need is for people to stay isolated in their own homogeneous communities. Throwing out bogus charges of racism simply keeps people apart, and that hurts us in the long run.

And of course, Bill Perdue repeats his lies about me – he’s hoping that repetition will make people believe it, following Goebbels example.

He’s similarly throwing out lies about Obama, who really had next to nothing to say about Proposition 8 or same-sex marriage during the campaign – he just answered some questions during interviews (saying nothing was not an option in that case) but otherwise avoided the issue – obviously he wanted to keep the discussion focused on the economy, with the Republicans obviously getting a lot of the blame for the meltdown.

‘B’ cliams that CNN is not racist. Tens of millions of immigrant and imported workers disagree.

“B” is a racist too, although very, very junior league. ‘B’ is a racist. Here’s the proof. ‘B’ says “Proposition Eight passed by 52% of the vote, and Blacks accounted for nearly 30% of that 2% margin in favor of Proposition Eight. That isn’t enough to “tip the scale”, but it is a pretty significant chunk of it.”

Instead of taking the vote of African Americans as a part of the entire 52.1% Yes on 8 vote he compared it to 2% of the entire vote. That falsely exaggerates the impact of the African American vote andthe point of that concocted exaggeration is to excite racist divisions.

Obama sabotaged our chances to save same sex marriage in California, along with the stupid eurocentrism of No on 8 and the huge media campaign by Yes on 8 that repeated Obama’s bigotry to millions. The impact of Obama’s bigotry is proven without question by the polls.

In No. 29 · Bill Perdue once again made a fool of himself.

First there is his idiotic claim that CNN is somehow “racist”. It isn’t, but sometimes (like the media in genera) it makes mistakes in its reporting. A few nuts will claim otherwise.

Second Perdue is repeating his lies about my comments regarding the Proposition Eight vote. What Perdue fails to acknowledge is that it the marginal vote that is important (in this case, the difference from approximately 50% for each ethnic group) because that tells you where you have to improve. Unfortunately, to explain why is too complex for many readers, but just to try to end this “discussion”, I might as well put out the details.

For purposes of discussion – i.e., to keep the mathematics simple – lets assume you have three ethnic groups, blacks, hispanics, and whites. Also assume that the cost of getting x white votes is w(x), the cost of getting y black votes is b(w), the cost of getting z hispanic votes is h(z). Furthermore assume you need N votes to win. These costs are convex functions: each additional vote in your favor within any of the three groups is harder to get than the last because stubbornness varies among individuals.

The cost of winning is f(x,y,z) = w(x) + b(y) + h(z) subject to the constraint x + y + z = N. To be effective, we have to minimize f subject to the constraint. The standard way to do that is to use Lagrange multipliers. We define
g(x,y,z,L) = f(x,y,z) + L (x + y + z – N) and find the values of x, y, z, and L that give you the minimum value. At the minimum, the partial derivatives of g with respect to x, y, z, and L will all be zero. Given the definition of f, we get
w'(x) + L = 0
b'(y) + L = 0
h'(z) + L = 0
and x + y + z – N = 0.
The constraint, which is satisfied, gives g the same value as f (with the constraint) at g’s minimum. We’ve used the standard notation that w'(x) is the derivative of w with respect to x.

The first thing you’ll note is that at the minimum cost point, w'(x), b'(y), and h'(z) must have the same value (-L), which means the marginal cost is the same for each group. The deviations in the vote around the optimal point is what is important – if those are not zero it means that you’ve used your resources suboptimally, and that can lead to a loss.

For a concrete example, suppose we have a population of 500 whites, 50 blacks, and 100 hispanics and that the cost functions
are
w(x) = 500 (x/500)(x/500) = xx/500
b(y) = 100 (y/100)(y/100) = yy/100
h(z) = 200 (z/200)(z/200) = zz/200.
These cost functions (chosen to make the example simple – the actual cost functions are more complex) make the cost a quadratic function of the fraction of each demographic group that votes against a measure multiplied by the size of that group. There are 800 voters in all, so we need 400 to win. The optimal point occurs when you convinced 250 white voters, 50 black voters, and 100 hispanic voters for a total cost of 200. If you reduce the black vote in your favor by 10 and increase the white vote in your favor by 10, your total number of votes is the same, but your cost to win goes to 201.2.

So, what you need to look at is the deviation from 50% (the optimal point in the example) in each ethnic group – that tells you where your campaign fell down. What it means regarding Proposition Eight is quite clear – more effort should have been spent on winning the African American vote – the 8% excess African American was a significant fraction of the 2% margin by which Proposition Eight won, and what that clearly indicates is that the “No on Eight” campaign did not do as well as it might have – resources were used suboptimally.

By trying to pretend that these facts are “racist”, Bill Perdue is for all intents and purposes trying to sabotage any effort to repeal Proposition Eight.

The fact is that there is an optimal number of votes to get for each ethnic/racial group. If you assume that all groups behave identically, that number is 50% (to stop an initiative) and 50% plus a single vote to pass an initiative. The deviations from that optimal value is what is important – non-zero deviations mean you are not using your resources as effectively as you could. So, assuming the optimum value is 50% for all groups, the 8 percent margin for the Black vote (58%) is important – that value should have been 0 if our side had run an optimal campaign, and that 8 percent margin accounts for 28% of the 2% margin by which Proposition Eight won. That’s also important, not to blame Blacks but as an indication of an areas where the “No on Eight” campaign fell short.

Any person who objects to this fact is in effect trying to prevent us from winning, and that is what Bill Perdue is doing.

The first political lesson is that it’s almost criminal to ignore minority in a state like California, where they’re teh majority. EQCA and HRC did exactly that.

The second political lesson is that we will never win by tying ourselves to enemies like the Democrats and their kissing cousins the Republicans. Obama sabotaged our chances to save same sex marriage in California, along with the brainless eurocentrism of No on 8 and the huge media campaign by Yes on 8 that repeated Obama’s bigotry to millions. The impact of Obama’s bigotry is proven without question by the polls. He did it by trumpet his bigoted idea that it was ok to vote against same sex marriage because ‘gawd’s in the mix’.

And the third political lesson is that we have to avoid the kind of racism displayed by ‘B’, a racist who refuses to compare the vote of African Americans as a part of the entire 52.1% Yes on 8 vote. Instead, to exaggerate its importance and provoke racist sentiments he compares it to only 2% of the entire vote.

In No 69, Bill Perdue continues the behavior outlined in No 68: his infantile name calling and lies as he tries his best to use Goebbels’ big lie technique.

BTW, Ewe (see No 70), Read No 1, which includes a citation – the record clearly shows that our president has stated that DOMA should be repealed, a fact reported in mainstream news sources ( http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2009/08/17/obama_makes_explicit_his_objec.html ). The president cannot, however, repeal a law – that is up to congress. None of us have any idea what the president is saying in private to individual senators and congressmen regarding DOMA – you may want him to shout at them in public, but that would probably just piss off the people who can actually get the ball rolling and just might be counterproductive.

@romeo:

Yeah, B, I’m for freedom of speech and all, but you really need to stfu.

Gentlemen, B sees himself as a self-appointed moderator whose agenda is to make everyone who posts on these threads, including Queerty.com look dumb, while attempting but failing to make himself look smart, flag posters he disagrees with and trying to get folks like 1EqualityUSA and myself banned from this site.

I have no doubt that B is the person responsible for every post that 1EqualityUSA and I make being moderated for the past several months now.

I have also noticed that many of the commentators with whom we are familiar no longer post on these threads. I can readily see why.

B apparently believes that he alone is entitled to freedom of speech but that is all other posters on this site that should stfu. For that reason both 1EqualityUSA and I rarely post on Queerty anymore.

B takes all the fun out of it.

‘B’ is a wannabe attorney for the right – he defends, which is the same as supporting, racists, the pope, Obama, Clinton, McCain, Mehlman, the DADT compromise, Ashburn, Rekers among others.

The truth of that is easily established by reading his comments. He’s thoroughly discredited himself and whines when honest commenters – dozens of us – point that out. He should be posting at Gay Republic or Democrats dot com.

Democrats are Republicans in drag.

Regarding Bill Perdue’s last comment, he’s posting the same garbage verbatim on at least three separate threads as part of his cyberstalking, personal vendetta, and thread hijacking:
