Afrolito, the thing is: How many virulently homophobic politicians and religious leaders have later turned out to be gay?

Let's all try to be nice here. We are all aware that he did not attend an inner-city school, probably (though I personally can't be sure nor even care) does not have friends who live in the projects and would scream in horror if he were in a house or apartment where there might be a mouse running across the floor.

He, along with several other rappers/movie stars who have spent more years rich than they did poor (LLcoolJ and Will Smith to name a few) really hand me a laugh when they present their 'I'm from the hood" personality when they get in front of the camera but allow no pictures of their houses, chauffered limo's nor EVER speak of the schools their children attend.

I just sit back and laugh. I am really starting to feel sorry for this emotionally lost little boy. He can't be himself and live with the millions he already has. He is only giving himself away and digging the hole deeper with every denial. If this is what he has to resort to in order to sell his music then his music must not have much to offer.

Whether he is or isn't gay is not the point. Constantly labelling people as gay, just because they say negative things about gays or are uncomfortable around them, makes legitimate homosexuality seem like the ultimate slur.

This seems to be where the "gays" and homophobes come together too often.

i think someone like bowow is an exception(that boy likes boys!) but the vast majority of homophobes are straight, and for those in the closet, they are acting homophobic to appear more straight. Calling people gay who are homophobes is typically silly, juvenile, and counterproductive. Their sexuality doesn't matter, they should just stop being homophobic and go one with their private lives.

@Chitown Kev: I still feel sorry for the little fart. He and Chris Brown along with many other celebs who got rich while young go through absolute hell in their early 20's. He was surrounded by outright thugs (Suge Knight, Snoop and company) and has no other choice (so he thinks) but to go that route.

However his being no dummy he knows how to get/keep his name out there. Who knows? The next time he does a nude scene we may get to see that booty. He is well aware controversy sells.

Going just a bit of topic here I wanted you to know (in regards to my comment the other morning) only 6 showed up out of a crowd of roughly 20. Nearly all present looked more like supporters from other groups doing support favors for this particular cause than from the grassroots level I had hoped it would be. But that was to be expected.

I guess you're just more likely to have a heightened awareness of gay people (and thus be more homophobic) if you're a self-hating closet case.
