Casey, why should a prostitute be prosecuted for doing something that is perfectly legal? It may have escaped your notice that we don’t all live in Neanderthal societies – such as that in the United States and Iran – where public morals are driven by religious bigotry.

Some of us actually live in societies where criminality is judged by what harm you do unto others. What harm does he do to anyone by being a prostitute.

Attitudes like yours do far more harm than prostitution ever will – in fact, it attitudes like yours that deem homosexuality wrong and harmful to society – and that is sick.

Why are people talking about S&M/sexuality in regard to George’s case? George did not say that the escort agreed to put on the handcuffs as part of some sex game. He said he handcuffed the guy to the wall with the guy screaming let me go because he thought the guy tampered with his computer.
You are trying to twist this into some kind of gay rights or free sexuality thing, when it’s not.
George did admit he did S&M with the guy in his statement to the police, but he said the handcuffing was not part of that.
I love George’s music, but he does have a history of violence against ex-boyfriends and others so he is very capable of beating someone up.
The argument he is too fat is absurd. The bigger you are the more able you are to hit someon hard.

George will always be one of my musical heroes, but his personal life is just such a mess! It does seem to me, though, that this hustler has ghosts informing him of George’s “intent” far more than whatever actually happened. George is known to like rough trade, but he is not known for wanting that trade to be unwilling and caged.

Smokey – in Britain, any damage beyond “trivial harm” is illegal whether it is consensual or not. this hasn’t been pushed very much (a house party of thirty-odd men was busted and brought up on several minor charges, and two married couples who had all charges dropped) but it has led to a very cautious scene. it’s the same in much of the US – a person cannot legally consent to assault or, presumably by extension, kidnapping. the hacker yarn, even if it’s a lie, might get him in less hot water.

Just like everyone else, MJ, I’m weighing in on all the possible options. It doesn’t mean things will actually play out the way I said they would, though. Nevertheless, I’m half serious about what I said… and half not. It’s all in good fun, and absolutely ridiculous that Carlsen believed B-George was going to kill him. I mean, REALLY…

And you must realize that just because Georgie-boy’s testimony says one thing, it need not necessarily be true. Your guess about what REALLY happened is as good as mine. That’s partly what the courts are for.

So Georgie is into BDSM and role-playing — big whoop. And Carlsen, for all its worth, is milking him for the money.

Of course, the media wants George to admit his kinks, which it seems he’s hesitant to do since it’ll paint him as someone who is bound to ‘falsely arrest’ someone time and time again. And the media be oh-so-patiently waiting for the next ‘victim’ to come out and lay charges on him…

Then again, if and when Georgie admits to it, the courts themselves won’t know what to do with him. They’ll realize they’re dealing not with criminality per se, but with sexuality — something that’s totally out of their league. Then they’ll have to brew up some bullshit cocktail of charges to make it seem they did something worthwhile.

So it seems like it’ll be a long ride for Mr. George. Now it’s time to see how my predictions play out!
