He's a human rights advocate now, apparently. Let's see how long that lasts. The man adopts the persona of whatever woman he is with at the time. He's a spineless cipher and it is utterly irrelevant what he thinks about same-sex marriage.

You people are never satisfied. Brad has spoken out in support of the gay community many, many times when he doesn't have to. For a guy from the middle of bible belt Missouri, he exhibits an open mind.

I think Brad is doing something very brave and he is certainly in a minority. So what if he has been influenced by Angelina to do good works? Why such bitchiness over some famous straight movie hunk standing up for us? It's not like there are dozens of them doing this, Brad has singularly lent us his very vocal support. I think we should be appreciative and thankful that our movement has come this far that main stream Hollywood is standing with us.

Wow, you guys are never satisfied. Let's not ignore that Pitt gave one of the largest personal donations to defeat Prop 8. No matter what reason why, he's on our side and is doing more to help us than a lot of our own supposed leaders.

He's said he won't marry until we can marry. I think he's cool and smart. And then there's his looks.

Brad Pitt could be mulling a future Presidential Run and I would vote for him! We need straight allies, not gay enemies (Danielle, FagHag) and advise Gregoire to refrain from the use of "You people" which is as loaded racially as it is in denigrating other gays and I believe he knows better. Angelina for First Lady (why should Carla Bruni have all the fun?) Love Aniston but didn't she NOT want babies when Brad DID?

Admittedly my first comment was a bit extreme. However, I find it hard to believe that anyone forms or alters their opinions on any issue based on what celebrities say and think.

Brad made a personal contribution to the No on 8 campaign, that is true, but it was dwarfed by much larger contributions that he and Angelina make to other causes and what else has he done to further the cause of same-sex marriage in the United States? Has he spoken at any rallies? Has he donated to groups that are trying to change marriage laws in New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Iowa or a host of other states?

Kudos to our straight allies, but let's not annoint people as allies who haven't earned it.

I'm always glad to see someone stand up for what is right, and appreciate it all the more when that someone has a means to get that message out to the masses.

And who, Sir, are you to trivialize or mainimize the size of the donation anyone made to Yes on Proposition 8? I am certain that there are those who, by your reasoning, could trivialize the amount you contributed to Yes on Proposition 8…assuming taht you donated anything at all?

How cavalier of you. Who appointed you as the judge in a give-away contest that does not even exist? Every contribution that was made, regardless of size, fought as hard to prevent that horrible injustice from happening. That you see fit to denigrate or demean anyone's generosity is mind-boggling.

Philanthropy is a gift that is not owed to anyone. It is given in the spirit of kindness and a genuine desire to support a cause. There is no onus on the giver to "earn" anything. Where do you get such crazy notions, anyway?
