In what sounds like a bad bar joke, a British tourist gave a lift to a Palestinian man he met on Tel Aviv’s beach promenade. The two stopped under a bridge, stripped down, and began to “engage in gay sex acts.” Then the Palestinian guy ejected the Brit from the car, threatened him, and drove off with his car and clothes. The Brit walked naked to a nearby gas station to ask for police help. The cops eventually apprehended the thief who had a history of robberies who is set to appear before Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court this week. Meanwhile, the British butt of this bad joke flew back to his home country the next day.

yeah, i would agree with #4, using a random picture with the article is kind of confusing but that’s what you must have done because there is no way that mossy tree is growing anywhere near tel aviv. also, why identify the criminal as a palestinian? in an area where that ethnic background is demonized, mentioning an irrelevant racial detail in conjunction with a crime just serves to further the discrimination.

I don’t think the picture is of the actual tourist. The background is all wrong for Israel where deciduous forests are not common; there is no sign of a bridge; and who would have been present to take the picture, anyway.
Could the other man be an Israeli Arab? There are a lot of Arabs who are Israeli citizens, but there are not a lot of Palestinians either from the West Bank or Gaza in Israel proper.
