Britney Spears Inspires Gay Superfan With Touching Letter About Coming Out

britney-gay-fanFlawless pop icon and Grammy award-winning Goddess Britney Spears is a great friend of the gays, this we know.

But this week, the Queen of Pop took time to remind one specific gay superfan that he will always be loved, and to follow his dreams because, like her, he is also destined for greatness.

Jordan Miller of Breathe Heavy reports that young David LeCours┬áhanded the Holy Spearit a hand-written letter during a meet-and-greet after one of her many sold-out “Piece of Me” performances at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas last week. In the letter, he explains how her music and presence helped him through the struggle of coming out.

On Instagram, David explained:

I honestly can’t believe I got to meet this wonderful and beautiful women again. She is the sweetest and nicest person alive. I got to give her my letter that I put so much effort into. The letter explained how she helped me get through a real tough period in my life these past couple of months, and how I wanted to end it all but she made me be strong. As I was leaving the building where meet and greet was held, Britney’s body guard ran and stopped me and said Britney requested my address so she could respond because my letter meant so much to her. Thank you for everything Britney. I wouldn’t be able to be so confident and open about my sexuality if your music and you didn’t help me. I love you so much, thank you for not only being my inspiration but helping me get back up and be strong.

On Tuesday, David revealed that he had received a response from Spears:

David writes:

I honestly have no words at all. I just want to thank you so much for taking the time to write me back and being such an amazing inspiration to me. You mean more than anything to me and it means more than you know for responding to me. Thank you so much, I love you.

Well done, Britney. Well done.

      Kindness is love personified. Gifts are received and then passed without loss. The soup is enhanced by kindness. There is no loss. Kindness proves this.

      Very sweet of her. It’s a touching story. And only a testicle-deprived coward who will always be an embarrassment to his family would have a negative thing to say about it.

      Spare us this corporate bimbo called Britney. Didn’t she refer to gay men as ‘girls’?

      She also failed to put male-male sexuality in her music videos. Her fake lesbian image is designed for straight guys.

      @michael mellor:
      “Girls” incident – she misspoke out of ignorance, no one is perfect. Lighten up

      Male/Male – true, i can’t recall any gay sexuality in her music videos, but in her stage act she has them.

      What lesbian image?

      @vocalism: That dried up hag? Madonna was old news long before Britney was popular in the late 90s. Both were born before me, so I’m still waiting on my generation’s gay icon. Gaga?

      @bobmister250:

      What are you talking about Madonna’s Ray of Light album was a juggernaut and that came out in 1998, “Baby One More Time” debuted a year later. I don’t have anything against Gaga, she’s ok, but maybe your generation will stop looking to women for a gay icons.

      There is a glaring error in this article. Britney is a pop princess but only Madonna is the Queen of Pop. Get your facts straight!

      @bobmister250: You GaGa fans are all the same a bunch of haters who have nothing better to do than troll the internet attacking the fans of other artists. I guess that is why your called Little Monsters. Get a life and stop acting like a school yard bully.

      Beautiful story indeed. Now if she’d only do a real live show where she actually sings the miracle would be complete :-)
