Britney Spears Inspires Gay Superfan With Touching Letter About Coming Out

britney-gay-fanFlawless pop icon and Grammy award-winning Goddess Britney Spears is a great friend of the gays, this we know.

But this week, the Queen of Pop took time to remind one specific gay superfan that he will always be loved, and to follow his dreams because, like her, he is also destined for greatness.

Jordan Miller of Breathe Heavy reports that young David LeCours handed the Holy Spearit a hand-written letter during a meet-and-greet after one of her many sold-out “Piece of Me” performances at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas last week. In the letter, he explains how her music and presence helped him through the struggle of coming out.

On Instagram, David explained:

I honestly can’t believe I got to meet this wonderful and beautiful women again. She is the sweetest and nicest person alive. I got to give her my letter that I put so much effort into. The letter explained how she helped me get through a real tough period in my life these past couple of months, and how I wanted to end it all but she made me be strong. As I was leaving the building where meet and greet was held, Britney’s body guard ran and stopped me and said Britney requested my address so she could respond because my letter meant so much to her. Thank you for everything Britney. I wouldn’t be able to be so confident and open about my sexuality if your music and you didn’t help me. I love you so much, thank you for not only being my inspiration but helping me get back up and be strong.

On Tuesday, David revealed that he had received a response from Spears:

David writes:

I honestly have no words at all. I just want to thank you so much for taking the time to write me back and being such an amazing inspiration to me. You mean more than anything to me and it means more than you know for responding to me. Thank you so much, I love you.

Well done, Britney. Well done.
