Broadway’s Babes Strip for Fun (and A Good Cause, Too!)
This Sunday in NYC, some of B-Way’s hottest performers will put those countless hours of dance classes to their best use yet: namely by stripping down and showing off their raw talent for the Broadway Bares XXI fundraiser. As a preview of the oh-so-good things to come, heres a sampling of last year’s goods.
I’m confused. Aren’t we supposed to be shocked and disappointed that men are parading around nude to raise money? If this were women then NOW and a bunch of conservative organizations would be raising all sorts of objections.
I don’t have a problem with selling sex per se, but thought I’d point out the inconsistency.

@erichinnw: Thank you! seXsphincta needs to loosen up and quit being a bitch. I loves me some fur too. It’s my preference over smooth. But I wouldn’t kick a couple of these guys outta bed either. It’s like getting a soda at the 7-11: Dr. Pepper’s my number 1 choice, but if they don’t have it, I have to go with Coke. These guys are Coke.

Nice bodies, but there isn’t a face on that stage that would make me want to see their bodies. There is a reason a lot of guys work out so hard….to compensate for not having a good face.
Where’s James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave? I’d rather see them.

@Xtincta: Nice of you to judge with your personal opinion. Manscaping just means you aren’t confident enough in yourself to be yourself. If you aren’t confident enough in yourself to be yourself you might as well go deep into the closet unless you already are.

@George412: What do you expect from Broadway? If they had real talent and looks they would be on television or in movies. Broadway is where “stars” go when they can’t cut it anywhere else and can’t make real money doing their craft.
On a side note, this move away from family friendly entertainment to solicit gay dollars is going to backfire in the face of Broadway unless they actually think that gay men will fill seats faster than a family of 4.

@galefan2004: Know your history before you spout: Broadway & Hollywood run on parallel tracks: many people start in the theater before moving on to film/ TV. And many go back & forth.
