Things are looking good for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama right about now: "In the first sign that voters are coalescing around Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee, two daily tracking polls notice a widening of the gap over his Republican rival John McCain. Both Gallup and Rasmussen now have Obama holding a gap of 6% over McCain." [HuffPo]

I want to be optimistic, but I still have doubts…
He will get crushed. When they go into the "PRIVATE" booth America's racism will come shining through. Regardless of that issue, people forget that Kerry was polling way ahead of
Bush even weeks before the election.
If this election is close which it won't be; it will come down to 4 states. Ohio, Mich, Fla and Penn.
He will be in trouble if he picks Hillary as VP. Kathleen Sebelius is a better choice for change.

Good to hear.
Also interesting news: militants in Nigeria apparently called a temporary ceasefire in response to Obama's nomination.
I want more than anything for Barack Obama to be the next president! The world really can't take another 4 years of Republicans in charge :/
I was hoping the bump would be more. But I'll be worried right up through election day. My ray of hope! McCain's disastrous speeches to date.
The bump isn't any bigger, because the asshole doesn't deserve to be president and people know it!

Pfft.
This is just the begining of the General Election and poor old McSame is going go down in flames in 50 states. The new voters democrats got to register in the Primary puts the entire country in play, and we'll have huge gains in both houses too.
