Capital City May Back Marriage

Washington, DC may be on its way to backing gay marriage, if Democrats hold onto both Houses of Congress. The mayor and 10 of 13 council members are pro same-sex marriage and it could happen as early as April of 2009. Although passage is not a sure thing, activist believe they have the votes needed.
