Firefly actor Alan Tudyk has been cast as the gay lead in ABC’s new fag/stag series. As we’ve mentioned, Will & Grace team David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are penning the show, which is based at least in part on their real life friendship. Cockles warmed. [AfterElton]

Alan Tudyk is a great actor, highly underrated, and it’s nice to see him getting a lead role instead of supporting for once. I hope the pilot takes off, because I’m really looking forward to seeing more Tudyk on my TV.

He was funny as all hell in the movie Death at a Funeral. Naked on the roof. Laughed my ass off.

I love this guy. He’s always been a hilarious and lovable character. So glad to see he’s getting leads in something.
