What is with the McCain campaign?! First they're accused - twice! - of plagiarizing recipes, and now homo-journo Andrew Sullivan claims the Republican presidential candidate stole his new slogan - "Don't Hope For A Better Life; Vote For One" - from Margaret Thatcher's 1970 prime minister push. » Rebuttal.

David Medina, a member of HRC's board of directors and former national political director for John Edwards, bit back at Andrew Sullivan, Michael Petrelis and others who accuse HRC of being slanted toward Hillary Clinton during the primary race. In addition to justifying the myriad positions of HRC leaders, Medina offers this rebuttal to Sullivan's accusations of inaction: "…The communications team of HRC is not in DC in their regular offices, but in California helping manage the surge of media around the historic marriages that will begin taking place this afternoon. That kind of work, along with keeping an eye toward the elections in the fall, is where their energy – and the rest of ours - should be right now, not in this kind of community infighting." Homo-journo and avowed bear Andrew Sullivan has some questions about Human Rights Campaign's garbage reaction to Clinton-endorsing Mike Easley's "pansy" remark: "I wonder if HRC ran this by the staff at the Hillary Rodham Clinton camp first? Or would that have been superfluous?" [Daily Dish]

Obama-adoring homo-journo Andrew Sullivan predicts an epilogue to the Bush Administration: war crime indictments.

Sullivan, appearing on The Chris Matthews Show this weekend, believes that a newly released John Yoo "torture memo," which gave the government a green light to use excessive measures to question detainees, will get a new life after the next inauguration. Said Sullivan:

The latest revelations on the torture front show the memo from John Yoo…means that Don Rumsfeld, David Addington and John Yoo should not leave the United States any time soon. They will be, at some point, indicted for war crimes.

Yes, but what about the big chief, George W. Bush?

Hillary Clinton took a jab at Barack Obama and former pastor Jeremiah Wright today, saying: "[Wright] would not have been my pastor. You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend." Homo-journo Andrew Sullivan's so outraged by Clinton's comments, he calls defeating "the Clintons" a "national imperative". [Daily Dish]

Democrat Barack Obama's come under some fire recently. As we're sure you know, opponents are calling for his head after footage surfaced of the Senator's retired reverend, Jeremiah Wright, calling for America's damnation and blasting Hillary Clinton.

The candidate's making a speech on the matter as we "speak," but loyal supporter Andrew Sullivan doesn't need no stinking speech to know that Obama's his man.

Will Gay Journalist's Heart Be Broken? Probably.

paulron2.jpg
Homo-journo Andrew Sullivan let the world know that he prefers Ron Paul to the other GOP candidates. John McCain nearly won the British-born Sullivan's political heart, but Paul's tried and true libertarian conservatism brought back memories of right wing bliss:

The great forgotten principles of the current Republican party are freedom and toleration. Paul's federalism, his deep suspicion of Washington power, his resistance to government spending, debt and inflation, his ability to grasp that not all human problems are soluble, least of all by government: these are principles that made me a conservative in the first place.

Poor Sullivan. His dreams are probably going to be shattered: Rasmussen Reports reports that Paul only has 6% of the likely Republican votes. Sullivan's Democratic favorite Barack Obama, however, holds 27% of likely Democratic voters.

Is Homo-Journo As Bad As Homophobe?

Andrew Sullivan better watch his British back. The left-leaning Proceed At Your Own Riskers ain't happy with the conservative journo's Barack Obama love.

In a swooning post, Sullivan featured the presidential candidate's so-called commitment to fighting homophobia in black churches - and beyond!

From Sunday's Meet The Press:

I've talked to African-American ministers. There's a problem of homophobia in the African-American community. I will go into churches, I will go into meetings with ministers and say, "I disagree with you on these issues. This is not how I interpret my faith."

I would, as president, make absolutely certain that all federal laws pertaining to married couples [pertain to] same-sex couples who have civil unions as well.

As Sullivan celebrates Obama's queer commitment, the Riskers remind him of the gay gospel gaffe, a political SNAFU Sullivan seems poised to forget.

Andrew Sullivan takes on the Clintons:

Democrats, it seems to me, also have a right to know whether the Clinton team expects another out-break of the kind of scandals that rocked and roiled the country the last time this couple occupied the White House together. Are we headed back to marital psychodrama as public spectacle?

Well, it's more interesting than the frigid Bush family.

Trans Rights Not Equal To Gay Rights

andrewsullivan-1.jpg
Representative Barney Frank can rest easy tonight. Conservative homo-journo Andrew Sullivan also thinks a neutered ENDA deserves a go. Well, sort of:

The transgendered movement is so important that it's worth subjecting gay people to many more years of employment insecurity. Not so urgent, after all, is it? Gay people in red states without employment protection have to wait while pomo lefty activists in cushy gay lobby jobs preen about p.c. purity.

I'm no big supporter of ENDA and don't truly believe it will make much of a difference. Nonetheless, holding it up for transgendered inclusion after two decades of waiting seems bizarre even for the p.c. hell that is the gay rights establishment. I can't believe I'm with Barney Frank on this one. But I am.

Why are we not surprised? Sullivan's not exactly the post child for equality, compassion or humanity.
