Rob Marciano Gives Us A Warm Front
In a bit of self-prophesizing, CNN weatherman Rob Marciano answers V Man’s question, “Is it possible for a journalist to be a sex symbol?,” thus: “I don’t see why not. Presidential candidates have been called sex symbols. I don’t think the label is exclusive to movie stars.” Indeed. 3 Responses» |

Thomas Roberts On Media’s Hard, Queer Conditions
What would you do if hunky homo-journo Thomas Roberts hiked you out into the wilderness? Whatever it is, we bet you didn’t think “Interview him!” Well, that’s what The Advocate’s Sean Kennedy did - fool! - and got the 35-year old to open up on about his very public exit from CNN. Contrary to rumors, says Roberts, he was not fired suspiciously close to coming out. His contract was over and, you know, he had personal shit. The boys then get into the reality of news television - and how it’s too conservative for an openly gay anchor. In fact, Kennedy shares some interesting insight into his own experience trying to nail Roberts. … Continued… 11 Responses» |
Sobriety Quest.
CNN’s Richard Quest has entered rehab after being arrested in Central Park with meth in his pocket and a rope tied around his penis. CNN had little to say on gay journo’s drug drama: “At this time, CNN’s primary concern is for his health and wellbeing. We look forward to Richard returning to CNN International.” [Guardian 6 Responses» |

Richard Quest’s Arresting Thought Process
What was CNN journalist Richard Quest thinking when he got arrested with meth and a rope tied to his penis? God only knows, but the kooky kids at 23/6 are venturing some guesses with a patented thought process flow chart. Briton Quest’s adventure begins with “Ah, spring in Central Park” and ends with “God save this queen.” |

Rope/Genitals.
CNN’s Richard Quest had more than just meth in his pocket at the time of his Friday arrest: “[Quest wore] a rope around his neck that was tied to his genitals, and [had] a sex toy in his boot, law-enforcement sources said.” [NY Post via Towleroad] 6 Responses» |

CNN Anchors’ Meth Deal
Richard Quest’s a lucky man. Rather than being thrown in the slammer for being caught with meth, the CNN anchor will complete a six month treatment program, which will essentially make the matter disappear: At Friday’s arraignment, Judge Anthony J. Ferrara told Mr. Quest that the case would be dismissed and sealed if he reported back in October and demonstrated sufficient progress in his therapy. The judge also agreed that there would be no restrictions placed on Mr. Quest’s ability to travel. CNN has not released a statement on Quest’s arrest. They’re probably hoping it disappears, as well. 13 Responses» |

Gay CNN Journo Busted With Meth
CNN International’s Richard Quest, seen here in a tight-fitting tee, will help take some of the attention away from ABC News and its fumbled debate, thanks to his arrest early this morning in Central Park. Found inside the lush green acres at around 3:40am today, he volunteered to police, while being escorted off the property, that he was carrying meth. 22 Responses» |

HRC v. CNN
HRC staffer Brad Luna took a shot at CNN for their coverage of the Democratic “Compassion Forum” held at anti-gay Messiah University, “It is an unfortunate choice by CNN and we would rather have seen them hold this forum in a more welcoming environment.” Too bad CNN didn’t book the venue. Said the news network’s representative: “The organizers from Faith in Public Life invited the candidates, selected the venue, and they also invited CNN to telecast the event.” Whatever, we’re mostly disappointed gays didn’t come up once during the event, which went down last Sunday. Re-Coop.
Anderson Cooper wants you to know that the stitches under his eye aren’t cosmetic, nor are they from a battle with Charlie Rose. No, the CNN anchor had to have a bit of cancerous skin removed. And, yes, he’s fine. Your steady 10pm returns this evening. Wear bells. [Gawker] 8 Responses» |
Thomas Roberts’ Knot Tied?
From a reader: “I couldn’t help but notice on yesterday’s edition of The Insider that Thomas Roberts, former CNN anchor, child abusee and [rumored] ManHunt nude, is wearing a wedding band on his left hand.” So, readers, have any of you been invited to Roberts and his unidentified beau’s wedding bash? 3 Responses» |

More On Whether America Can Handle Gay ‘Idol’
American Idol’s faggotry got some mainstream attention this weekend. Following male stripper David Hernandez and not-officially-out Danny Noriega’s respective sackings, CNN took some time to again address the nation’s most burning question: Is America ready for a gay American Idol. Neither Noriega, nor Hernandez used the occasion to express any opinion one way or another (Hernandez says he was judged by his singing), openly gay former contestant Jim Verraro came out to talk about his personal fear of being outed - and how one’s private sexuality shouldn’t trump one’s talent. That’s kind of funny coming from Verraro, who wouldn’t even be on CNN if he didn’t do dudes. 6 Responses» |

Cooper On Lawrence King and Murderer’s Potential Motive
Anderson Cooper and his CNN team took a look at the Lawrence King murder last night. In addition to telling us what we already know - King was shot by a 14-year old class mate - the 360 journos point out that the shooter, Brandon McIrney, may have been “humiliated” by King’s school yard crush. Do we smell a gay panic defense? 1 Response» |

Barkley Comes Out Against Gay Nup Opposing “Fake Christians”
Former NBA superstar turned political expert Charles Barkley appeared on CNN’s sensational Situation Room last week to discuss his electoral love for Barack Obama. Surely former Republican Barkley wanted said appearance to be remembered for his pro-Democratic standing, but it’s his damning criticism of the GOP that makes headlines today, specifically the 44-year old’s description of “conservatives” as “fake Christians,” specifically with regard to gay marriage. Score! |

Prison Boss Ended Orgies
We know prison’s for bad people and the like, but outgoing Floridian prison secretary James McDonough makes it sound sort of appealing, except for the violence: “[Officials] seemed to be drunk half the time and had orgies the other half, when they weren’t taking money and beating each other up”. McDonough put an end to his madness during his two year tenure as secretary. [CNN] 3 Responses» |

“Culture of Death.”
