We're breaking a few rules this morning.

First, as many of you know, we try not repeat artists, but are making an exception with D'Angelo's "Cruisin'," which brings us to our second rule break: copying our sister site, Stereohyped. Sorry, kids - we simply couldn't resist!

The time has come! Ellen DeGeneres and lady love Portia de Rossi will reportedly tie the knot this weekend:

[The women] will wed this weekend in California, Usmagazine.com has learned exclusively.

The pair are planning a small, intimate ceremony with only a few close friends and family.

Of the preparations, DeGeneres joked, "Planning a wedding is very stressful. It's crazy. My gardener is now invited."

DeGeneres and de Rossi began dating in December 2004.

"I feel like I found my perfect fit," DeGeneres said of de Rossi in an interview with the Advocate.

Not to mention a fine female specimen. That Portia be hot!

No, it's not the most upbeat track, but we've been humming the late Jeff Buckley's rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" all day, so we're sharing the wealth. Anyone who has never heard it best pay attention - it's great for the sack.

Some may compare Candie Payne's sound to that of Sixties-inspired Amy Winehouse and Duffy, but where those gals produce an "updated" experience, Payne offers the real deal. Or, at least, a deal sentimental enough to come across as vintage.

On an unrelated note, the singer looks like a cross between Barbara Streisand and Lauren Bush, which is queerly alluring.

Anyway, check out the "unofficial" video for "I Wish" and "One More Chance," above and below the jump, respectively.

Handsome Mad Men actor Jon Hamm recently sat down with The Advocate's Brandon Voss for a little homo heart-to-heart.

In addition to discussing the requisite "man crushes" - MM writer Matt Weiner and costar John Slattery - Hamm talks advertising, his fictional character Don's forte:

BV: How would you create a Mad Men ad campaign geared specifically to the gay community?

JH: Well, it’s a very high-drama show, and it’s very stylish. Three things that the gay community responds to are attitude, sexiness, and style. We’re a prime property for a big gay following—I love it.

BV: We’re an easy sell, Jon — just show us some skin.

JH: [Laughs] I don’t know about that. I don’t know if you want me anywhere near any kind of skin thing — that’s a nightmare.

Mr. Hamm, we respectfully disagree…

Injecting a little self-referential irony into the shoegaze music movement, here's M83 with "Kim and Jessie," which comes from the French outfit's album Saturdays=Youth.

You know how right wingers - like Sam Graves - always referring to "San Francisco values" because of the city's gay ways?

Well, in light of the pleasant Proposition 8 news, we dedicate Scott McKenzie's "San Francisco" to them.
