Uses Children's Book For Homophobic Propaganda

Here's one book our imaginary children won't be reading: Alfie's Home by ex-gay activist Richard A. Cohen.

Cohen's main claim to fame comes from his queer approach to "homo trauma": clutching a pillow and pleading for his father's love. Judging from the looks of this book, he's been chatting up Without Prejudice's prejudiced panelist who thinks all gays were raped.

A Vermont mother's tired of anti-gay editorials in her local paper. In an effort to channel her anger, the on-the-money mama wrote a long, scathing reply.

We've included the entire Family Pride-provided letter after the jump, but want to highlight our favorite part of her anti-homophobe harangue:

You have the audacity to talk about protecting families and children from the homosexual menace, while you yourselves tear apart families and drive children to despair. I don’t know why my son is gay, but I do know that God didn’t put him, and millions like him, on this Earth to give you someone to abuse. God gave you brains so that you could think, and it’s about time you started doing that.

Being gay in India ain't easy. As we've seen, the former British colony refuses to shed Section 377, the anachronistic law banning homosexuality. Well, the issue came up this weekend over at India's NDTV, where journo Revati Laul offers readers a little look at India's lavender set. And it's lots of confusing…

Among Laul's subjects, you'll find a transexual by the name of Sylvie. According to Laul, "[Sylvie] was once gay and then decided to undergo a sex change and completely transform into a woman". So, does that make Sylvie hetero? We don't mean to be insensitive, but we can't keep trans sexuality straight.
