Sally Kern's back! The Oklahoma lawmaker, who gained national prominence for her anti-gay stance, lashed again yesterday, this time trying to awkwardly justify her hateful ways:

Tuesday's remarks were made at the Cleveland County Republican Club where she once again repeated her opposition to gay marriage and homosexuality. She opened by saying she was a “cultural warrior for Judeo-Christian values.”

“I am not saying everyone has to be Christian; this is not a homogeneous nation,” Kern told the audience. “What you have to be is someone who believes in a Judeo-Christian ethic, in other words, in knowing there's a right and wrong.”

“Not all lifestyles are equal; not all religions are equal,” she continued. “Was I saying all people are not equal? Heavens no; we were all created equal.”

Some are just more righteous, right Sally?

"A state lawmaker who gained national notoriety with an anti-homosexual rant was stopped from entering the state Capitol Wednesday when she was found to have a loaded handgun in her purse, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. Patrol spokeswoman Chris West said Republican Rep. Sally Kern was not charged because there did not appear to be any "malicious intent" behind her actions." Unless there were gay folk about… [AP]

Anti-gay Oklahoma lawmaker Sally Kern ain't gonna like this one.

Homo-politico Jim Roth currently leads the fund race for the state's Corporate Commission.

Kern, of course, made international news in March when she railed against "immoral" gays and criticized rich gay philanthropists, including Tim Gill, who happened to contribute $5,000 to Roth's campaign.

And he's not alone: Colorado Congressional hopeful Jared Polis, whom we interviewed last week, also offered a contribution.

Gays sure do like to stick together!

Oklahoma lawmaker Sally Kern should have kept her mouth shut. Not only did her anti-gay comments offended countless people, but it may be costing Oklahoma City a lucrative deal. Rumor has it that Kern's remarks may have scared away a lesbian automotive executive who wanted to open an office in the area.

The deal, to be brokered by real estate giant Staubach Co., has not yet been taken off the table, but "local business leaders" claim the San Francisco-based lesbian ain't amused. Staubach refuses to divulge the details, of course…

It's official. Anti-gay lawmaker Sally Kern's a big, fat liar. She claims PFLAG twisted her words to make it seem as if she came out against gay job discrimination. Well, PFLAG taped their 40-minute meeting and she repeatedly says she doesn't condone anti-gay employment discrimination. She says a whole lot more, too. [PFLAG]

In even more war-ish news, the brutish Peter LaBarbera and his pals at Americans For "Truth" ain't gay about Out's list of the universe's most powerful homos:

We are intrigued by the fact that the same movement that once cried out for “privacy” and “to be left alone” feels free to publicly declare people’s homosexuality for them (Anderson Cooper, No. 2, and Jodie Foster, No. 43).

On the other hand, if OUT is right, it might explain Cooper’s bias in his reporting on the homosexual issue: in a recent interview that the CNN host did with pro and con advocates on a ”gay parenting” story, he blatantly favored the “gay” side in his questioning.

Regardless of whether Cooper practices homosexuality, as a professional he should be completely even-handed in his treatment of this controversial moral question.

This from a man who uses his influence to spread blatantly biased spread gay panic and supports Sally Kern, the politician who called non-Christians "infidels" and equated gays with terrorists? Who's even-handed?

» Bad Odds.

Over 1,000 people went out to support Sally Kern's freedom of hateful speech. In contrast, only about 400 people protested her homophobia last week. Oy… [News OK]

Social conservatives will shower Sally Kern with praise today, but the anti-gay lawmaker has no friends on The Oklahoman's editorial team.

Kern's main focus in the Legislature has been on anti-gay initiatives, such as trying to determine where libraries should place books with homosexual themes. "God's Word does not change. … Therefore, my opinion also will not change,” she said last week.

Kern will be shown a little love today when the American Family Association holds a rally in her support at the Capitol. Perhaps constituents ought to hold a rally of their own, urging this one-trick pony to put her tiresome personal agenda aside and work to do something constructive.

We have a suggestion, but it's not fit for print.

The social conservatives of Concerned Women for America are organizing a "free speech" rally tomorrow to honor anti-gay lawmaker Sally Kern, who claims gays are worst than terrorists and called non-Christians infidels. [CNW]

Brief Sally Kern ally PFLAG ain't happy with the Oklahoma lawmaker's persistent, obsessive anti-gay politics: "It seems as if Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern is determined to do some fancy footwork to avoid even the perception that she might be open-minded enough to consider another view." [PFLAG]

Those of you with a stomach of steel should check out the audio from Sally Kern's appearance at University of Central Oklahoma, during which she refers to non-Christians as "infidels." There's also a remix! [U.S.M.H.]

Oklahoma lawmaker Sally Kern simply can't quit her anti-gay ways. After coming out last week against gay discrimination, Kern took pen to paper and published an op-ed in which she again rails against the so-called "gay agenda:"

Anyone who thinks there is no homosexual agenda need only look here in Oklahoma to the newly formed Equal Rights Project created to help elect candidates by bridging the gay/straight community. The Equal Rights Project states "We felt we were uniquely qualified to help those running in the South and the Bible Belt. Running in these communities is much different than in California and New York. Our idea was to train, educate and support all candidates who support equal rights for all."

Homosexuals are already citizens who have equal rights. They want "special rights" for the acceptance of their deviant lifestyle. I'm thankful that Oklahoma is different than California and New York. I pray it stays that way.

Despite meeting with PFLAG and coming out against anti-gay discrimination yesterday, lawmaker Sally Kern still maintains that we gays are a blight on American society.

Speaking with about 40 people at a contentious University of Central Oklahoma meeting, Kern again stood by her now infamous remarks on the "homosexual lifestyle": "If I knew it was being recorded, I'd still say the same thing. I will not back down from what I believe the Bible teaches.”

Kern also took some time to reiterate her trepidation over Islam in America: "It's like oil and water: They (Islamic law and American law) won't mix."

Old dogs can learn new tricks. Infamously anti-gay lawmaker Sally Kern today with the folks at PFLAG and they apparently made her realize that we gays aren't terrorist demon spawns. Via PageOneQ:

Oklahoma House Rep. Sally Kern has taken a stand opposing discrimination against gays in the workplace. The embattled lawmaker is also considering another meeting with more PFLAG parents at their local chapter…

Prior to today's meeting, Rep. Kern expressed that she saw the "gay agenda" as a bigger threat to the United States than international terrorism, and used an analogy suggesting that such an agenda needed to be caught early and treated like one would treat cancer.

This is incredible, especially considering Kern defended herself just last weekend. It's worth noting that Kern did not apologize, according to a PFLAG press release, which we've included after the jump.

It should be interesting to hear what Kern has to say to the anti-gay kids of University of Central Oklahoma's College Republicans. Someone bring a tape recorder.

No wonder so many people decry America's future generations. The College Republicans of University of Central Oklahoma are coordinating a very special meeting with a grotesque guest, Sally Kern! Apparently these kids simply can't get enough of the anti-gay lawmaker. They also can't tolerate democratic process - check out the last line of their announcement:

Attention all fellow conservatives!!

State Representative Sally Kern will be our guest speaker for this week's meeting. You may have recognized the recent media attention Sally has received from local media for her remarks made on the gay and homosexual agenda. Sally will be here setting the record straight on some of the untruths the media has been spreading and explaining the reasons for her remarks.

This event is open to College Republicans and those with a conservative ideology only. Protesters will not be tolerated.

Ewwww.
