Ted Haggard’s former rent boy Mike Jones found himself in the spotlight once again this week. Jones joined a number of other men in recounting their sexual encounters with toilet trolling Senator Larry Craig. While Mike Rogers may remain suspicious, Jones insists he’d put his “credibility” up against Craig’s. An even match, we’re sure: I’ll put my credibility up against Larry Craig’s. Here’s a man that doesn’t know the difference between innocence and guilty…I think people know he’s been a liar.

In an effort to clear his journalistic name, Rob Capriccioso published the alleged emails between him and Trent Lott’s rumored lover, Benjamin Nicholas.

Capriccioso claims, of course, that the long-lasting Senator Lott retired yesterday because he feared being outed as a boy renter. While Lott didn’t address the gay gossip, Nicholas flat-out denied being involved with Lott.

There’s no telling whether or not Capriccioso fabricated the aforementioned emails, for they’re nothing more than typed up text, rather than screen snaps. Among the scintillating and dubious details, however, comes “news” that it was Gawker, not prime suspect Hustler, that originally contacted Nicholas about the Lott scandal. “Nicholas” writes: I was contacted by Gawker this morning ([Nick] Denton is a friend of mine). He’s hot to get an exclusive interview about the possible relationship between the two of us, but I politely declined. As I said before, Lott has quite a bit on his plate right now and I don’t really want to add fuel to the embers. Too late.

Despite not wanting to go on record yesterday, Nicholas reportedly sent Capriccioso the following missive this morning: “Sen. Lott and I have no current affiliation with one another. I’m sure he would appreciate no further scrutiny.” Speaking of scrutiny: “no current affiliation”?

No doubt departing Senator Trent Lott’s having a laugh this morning.

As we updated late last night, Lott’s alleged boy toy, Benjamin Nicholas, swears he never bedded the Republican politico.

Despite Nicholas’ denials, the story’s original source, Big Head DC founder Rob Capriccioso defends his capricious story: Capriccioso defended the Lott piece, telling The Huffington Post “Big Head DC stands by our quotes and item 100 per cent,” but he declined to share any of the emails Nicholas allegedly sent to the blog. Capriccioso can stand by anything he wants, but it doesn’t seem many blogs, including former employer Radar, will be standing by him. Unless, of course, he can … Continued…

Republican Senator Trent Lott caused a sensation today when he announced his early retirement. Insisting that he’s in good health, but neglecting to elaborate on why he’s quitting five years early, Lott’s revelation led some to speculate he’s accepted a more lucrative private sector gig.

Big Head DC, however, wonders whether Lott’s telling the whole truth.
