Apparently committing a sin isn’t the only way to get in trouble with the Catholic hierarchy—having a personal view that differs from the Church will land you in a lake of fire, too.
Lennon Cihak of Barnesville, Minnesota, was denied confirmation last month after Rev. Gary LaMoine came across a photo on Facebook of Cihak with a pro-marriage-equality sign (right).
The placard originally encouraged voters to approve Minnesota’s proposed constitutional ban on gay marriage, but industrious Lennon crossed out “YES” and replaced it with “NO!”
17-year-old Lennon says he doesn’t hold animosity toward his faith, “it’s just the way the priest has things running—he’s so strict. He won’t loosen up about things.”

Interestingly, some of Lennon’s classmates “Liked” his photo but were not banned from confirmation.
The teen’s mom says she’s stunned by LeMoine’s decision: “You kind of know the Catholic beliefs, but I never thought they would deny somebody confirmation because you weren’t 100%,” explained Shana Cihak, who says she won’t return to the church again.
Lennon’s dad is equally irate: “[LaMoine] was talking about ‘God doesn’t believe in this.’ Well, God created Lennon.”
And presumably, God made Minnesota’s odious marriage amendment fail at the voting book last week.

Hopefully the Catholic Church will purge all members who support marriage equality and not realize until after that fewer members means diminished influence.

So the priest has nothing better to do than troll Facebook looking for people who support marriage and then excluding them from all reindeer games. This is exactly what Jesus wants.

Yep. Thank god this priest is ignoring all the troubles, and turmoil in the world to punish this kid. I’m sure that will make MN a much better place now.

When my parents wanted to get married, the priest in their village demanded a massive amount of money to marry them, claiming that since my father never went to church, he had to pay to get in. Dad asked him is he wanted 5 up front, and the priest said yes. Dad punched him in the mouth, and said the next five would come the next day, and the day after that until the priest married them. They were married the next day.

This is another desperate move by the Cult.
A couple of observations:
1. After excluding this young man, the Cult will continue to insist that it speaks on his behalf and on behalf of all other nominal Catholics.
2. Lennon is fortunate that his “career” was cut short in the organization. He is at a prime age for victimization by the hierarchy, and the fact that the priest was creepily stalking the profiles of young people makes me worry for the well being of the other children he has access to, considering the established pattern of mass child sexual abuse that this corporation has established over the decades.
