If you read what he said, he’s of the opinion that it’s ok to be anything on a sports team, as long as you can play.
In other words, if you’re straight (or gay or born female or extremely short or orange) it’s not an issue as long as you can play.
He’s saying that the only issue that matters or should matter on a team is athletic performance.

Very mis-leading headline. Queerty yet again making, or trying to make, something out of nothing. You know it is this kind of foul reporting that is just as negative to our movement as anything else. I swear sometimes we are our own worst enemy.
