Like a bad case of herpes, every few months the Benham twins rear their ugly heads to spew their homophobic paranoia at whoever will listen.
When they’re not comparing themselves to Mel Gibson or saying Christians should be willing to die to stop the gays, the twins are trashing Michael Sam or comparing themselves to Jews living in Nazi Germany. But their latest comments may take the cake as their most disgusting and offensive remarks yet.
At the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. last weekend, the failed reality stars compared themselves to the beheading victims of the terrorist group ISIS, Right Wing Watch reports.
“There is a radical agenda that has come in our nation,” David Benham explained while speaking about the treatment of Christian fundamentalists in America. “The weapon of choice for the agenda in the Middle East is a sword, but the weapon of choice for the agenda in America is silence. They demand silence.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
To be clear: We don’t demand silence from Christians. We demand silence from stupid idiots like the Benham brothers.
“ISIS is filled with rage,” the twin continued. “They are empowered by a demonic, blood-thirsty spirit that needs to be confronted and dealt with, not tiptoed through the tulips… The plot to silence the beliefs of Christians in this nation, thank god it’s not through a sword. It’s just in the form of silence.”

It’s funny isn’t it? They are SO entitled, that they think having somebody not agree with them is the worst possible thing that could ever happen….equivalent to being beheaded. If you ever needed an example to see just how over privileged these two are, there you go.

Jesus two great commandments were “Love God and love your neighbour”. These two clowns would do well to remember that.
Significantly, Jesus preached against hate, judgement, stealing, selfishness and most other antisocial actions, but he never said one thing against homosexual love, which was clearly just as present then as it is now. Why do you think that was?

My statement pointed out quite clearly that these two thinking that people disagreeing with them being akin to being beheaded shows how sheltered and over privileged they are.
You in turn could not point out any specifics that were wrong with what I said, merely tried to deflect by making a vague statement.
But nice to see that once again you are quick to jump to the defense of anti-gay bigots.

My guess is that the families of those young men who were beheaded would disagree with the Benham boys. Matter of fact I’d bet those families would be outright (and rightly) offended. These two privilaged solid brats don’t have the first clue about what persecution is really about. If they are so religious I’d highly recommend they take a good hard look at their bible and compare their own selfish entitlement to the true persecution their lord and savior Jesus experienced. These boys should be ashamed of their grandstanding and pathetic attempts at attention. But, since they are doing it in the name of “religion”, I sure they feel it is totally justified. I don’t hate Christians, I just hate their agenda.

What an idiotic article. I didn’t once hear them compare themselves to the beheading victims of ISIS. Nor did I hear them make any homophobic statements. From what I’ve ever heard of them, they weren’t “homophobic”. They never had a fear of us… they simply thought we didn’t conform to their religious beliefs. In case you haven’t heard, here in the USA we believe in the freedom of speech. Also the freedom of religion. We may not agree with their beliefs, but it’s their freedom to not agree with ours as well.

I love it when right wing trolls try to come in and pretend they’re gay. Ok everybody, sing along with me since you all know the words.
1. “We didn’t conform to their religious beliefs” meaning they think we shouldn’t exist and our wanting to exist didn’t conform to that belief.
2. They have the freedom of speech to say what they want. And we have the freedom to tell their network that we won’t watch their show, and to tell their sponsors we won’t buy from them if they support them. What YOU want is for them to have the freedom to say or do anything and everybody else to be prevented from disagreeing with them.
3. They do have freedom of religion. Unfortunately for them, for now, just because you claim your religion has a rule, you don’t have the right to force others to abide by that rule. See, because OTHERS have freedom too.
Again, nice try troll, but I have to say, the Mormons tried the same thing (Faking being gay on the blogs) during Prop 8 and they put a bit more feeling into it. Maybe you could read some of their old posts, cut and paste them and then come back and try again.

@Cam: You and I, being white American males, are among the .00001% most “privileged” individuals who have ever existed on this planet.
I await your rationalization on how this is a bad thing.
aliengod
@Cam: I’m neither a right wing troll or “pretending” to be gay. I’m most definitely gay… with a partner of 15 years. I’m just sick and tired of the overuse of the word “homophobe”. I’m tired of our tribe trying to shut down freedom of speech for anyone who disagrees with us. There are many religious people who don’t agree with our “lifestyle”. That doesn’t mean they’re scared of us or hate us.

1. Your comment is rife with assumptions.
2. Once again, you have a desperation to try to change the topic from what is actually being discussed. My comment specifically referred to somebody being so overprivileged that they feel that any disagreement with them is as bad as being violently murdered.
But of course, you have to do that, because your fall back is to always either defend the anti-gay bigot, or to try to alter the topic to take attention away from the actual subject.
And just as a reminder, the actual subject of this posts, is that these two men feel that people disagreeing with them about gays having basic rights is as bad as being murdered by having your head torn off.

Of course you are a right wing troll. Because nobody but somebody trying to defend an anti-gay bigot would claim that freedom of speech means they get to attack us, but we do not have the right to disagree with them.
Tell me, has anybody stopped those two from speaking about their beliefs? Are they talking to the press? Yes of course they are.
The right is “Freedom of Speech” not “Freedom to have a Reality TV show”.
They have the right to say what they want and we have the right to say what we want about what they say.
And only a right wing troll looking for any excuse to defend these guys would pretend not to understand that.
BJ McFrisky
@Cam: Rationalization achieved! Thanks for that, Cammy. More proof of your primo hypocrisy for anyone having an opinion that differs from yours.
So much for ongoing “tolerance” of the left.
ps – Your disrespect for ISIS murderers will lose you the respect of Bradley Manning, who has publicly announced his support for them. Birds of a feather, and all that.
Bauhaus
@aliengod:
I don’t know what kind of lifesyle you are living, and don’t care.
However, being in a fifteen year gay relationship, ought to have opened your mind, if not your vernacular, just a bit.
The GLBT “tribe” has always eschewed this term. The religious right foisted it on us to make it look like we were dirty sinners, and that our sexual orientation was a choice.
If you’re tired of the overuse of homophobe, fine, call them for what they are:
BIGOTS.

And once again, your post does everything possible to avoid dealing with the actual subject of this story. I’m not sure why you bother to try, you get busted every time you do it.
Once again, you made a comment about the tolerance of the left? Interesting, when this story was about people who feel that anybody disagreeing with them is no different then them being attacked and beheaded.
But do you talk about that? No of course not, in your zeal to always defend the anti-gay bigot the last possible thing you want to do is actually discuss the merits of the article, so you will attack people posting, or comment about them, or make up conversations that didn’t happen, really anything to avoid the simple fact of….
These two guys think that anybody disagreeing with them and their views is no different than if they were attacked and beheaded.
But at least you’re consistent. Please feel free to respond, it will give me another opportunity to type out “These two guys think that anybody disagreeing with them and their views is no different than if they were attacked and beheaded.”
BJ McFrisky
@Cam: See, this is why I rarely respond to your rants with any degree of seriousness.
I never, ever said anything about these 2 guys. Did I defend them? No. Did I excuse their behavior? No. Did I even comment on them? No. What I said was entirely in response to your comment, not their actions. You love living the life of the victim, you’ve made that very clear, so I was simply pointing out that you, as well as I, are one of the most fortunate individuals in the history of mankind. Your boring criticisms of me “not addressing the issue at hand” are Trojan horses borne out of petty spite and nothing else.
You’re married now, Cam. Time to grow up.
Good day.
Cam
@BJ McFrisky:
I love it when somebody tries to pretend that they aren’t attempting to alter the topic and deflect from the subjects of the story by……..Altering the topic and deflecting from the topic of the story.
You started by directly commenting about me, then attacked my response, then tried to change direction, and now again are avoiding talking about them.
Please remember “These two guys think that anybody disagreeing with them and their views is no different than if they were attacked and beheaded.”
Stefano
@Cam : you are right but…do you really think that arguing with BJ McFrisky is a good thing ?
Cam
@Stefano:
Well I’ve noticed that when you point out his obvious tactics he seems to go away for a few weeks. 😉
To argue both of us would have to have had an opinion. He is just trying to hide the topic.
BJ McFrisky
@Cam: I would explain again that I never attempted to address the topic (because I don’t care about it), but since that apparently doesn’t fit your agenda, you’re going to keep typing the same quote over and over. Mental illness experts have terms for such behavior.
(and no, FYI, I don’t go away, I just quietly observe and evaluate, which is why I call you out on your frequent hypocrisy).
Good day.
Cam
@BJ McFrisky: said… “@Cam: I would explain again that I never attempted to address the topic”

Thank you for finally admitting that you never had any intention of addressing the topic and that you didn’t care about it. What better way to prove my point that your sole reason for coming in here is to derail any conversation that is pointing a finger at an anti-gay bigot. Of course you didn’t want to address the actual topic, your entire reason for posting is to deflect away from it.
And what was the topic again? Oh that’s right….“These two guys think that anybody disagreeing with them and their views is no different than if they were attacked and beheaded.”
BJ McFrisky
@Cam: Thanks for the many compliments. I didn’t expect that coming from you. And yes, I am in a monogamous relationship, so I don’t think it would work out for us. But thanks for the offer. I’m flattered.
Again, good day.
Cam
@BJ McFrisky:
And again, thank you for pointing out that not only is your only goal on here to deflect from any criticism of right wing bigots.
But that you will just randomly type out anything unrelated to avoid dealing with the real topic about these two anti-gay right wing bigots. Which is…..
“These two guys think that anybody disagreeing with them and their views is no different than if they were attacked and beheaded.”
Rob Moore
When I see these two, I visualize them in a video in slings being gangbanged and abused by some of the gay porn world’s more intense tops. I know it’s probably sick, but I cannot help it.
Chris
Are you fucking kidding me with this shit??? That is some twisted logic. They’re basically making themselves out to be martyrs just because they’re not getting their way. What a bunch of petulant children, smh. I am gay, Christian and, OMG…..here it comes……REPUBLICAN. THis attitude does not represent the second two groups, just some of the fucking vocal douche bags in those groups.
