Chely Wright Is Engaged To Lauren Blitzer, August Wedding Planned

Country singer Chely Wright, star of the Internet’s favorite 2010 guessing game, is engaged to girlfriend Lauren Blitzer, the development director of Faith in America in New York City. (She is also, apparently the “corporate giving manager” at GLSEN.) She’s also the co-author of Same Sex in the City: So Your Prince Charming Is Really a Cinderella, which landed her a flashy “lesbian friendship” piece in the Times in 2005. Chely and Lauren met doing their LGBT activism work, we’re told, and they will marry in Connecticut on August 20.

Congratulations! Incidentally,I have seen Chely Wright on television as a representive for GLSEN, and she appears to be an excellent advocate for LGBT students.

Oh, please, in 2 years they’ll have split up. Neither of them look genuine to me. I could be wrong but that’s my impression.
