The point?
This is the guy who, when he was in the Movie about the plane that crashed outside of DC in PA, and he was playing a gay guy, and was openly gay, in interviews would say "Oh, and I would be terrified if my wife or girlfriend was in a situation like that".
Then, when his movie career tanked, tried to give interviews to the Advocate claiming that that was his publicists fault and he fired her after that. Funny, the publicist wasn't talking during the interview now was she?

Yeah, you really should reread his Advocate interview (linked below) more carefully. He addressed this bit of gossip and cleared it up in a more than satisfying manner. And if did misspeak on a stressful red carpet situation, he certainly made up for it in this and every other interview the guy gave after that. So cut him some slack! Just like Cheyenne says in the article, Just how gay do you want him to be? Some people are never happy.

Cheyenne was front and center at the rally in Times Square and, with Neil Patrick Harris and Paul Szoto, is the gay visibility holy grail – an openly gay Leading Man. He is out, talented, and political. What more could you ask for?
