What is really ridiculous is that the Chinese people could wipe out the Communist Party in the blinking of an eye (1.24 BILLION against only 75 MILLION Communist Party members). Why the Chinese put up with the censorship and corruption is anyone's guess. And when you consider the Chinese GLBT community is between 50 to 150 MILLION+ people, the fact they put up with any crap is even more amazing. The Communist Party is simply getting away with what they are being allowed to get away with (this is true of nearly all governments that violate human rights). Mr. Tsai seems pretty amazing, and I have to give him props for having huge balls. No matter where you live, being yourself is never easy when growing up gay. But more and more people are adopting his - I'm Me Deal With It - attitude. I wish them all the best. I can't completely understand his strength, taking my ability to speak out against the government for granted, but families dealing through denial I understand completely. Wow.
