The Clinton campaign unveiled an uproarious new video in which they encourage voters to support Hillary during the Iowa Caucus. The video – called “Caucusing Is Easy” – opens with former President Billy Boy running on a treadmill and lusting for a juicy burger. And, as you can see, he’s not happy about his diet regime.
Meanwhile, another part of the video pokes fun at Hillary’s horrendous singing voice. A campaign that plays on its all-stars’ well-known weaknesses? Genius!

“Go stand in the Hillary corner.” Heh.
Who’s on Hillary’s writing team? Is she filching from the striking Hollywood writers? This was actually quite clever. And kind of gay, in a nice way.
Joe
“Regimen”, not “regime”.

Finally, some (more) humor from the campaign front. Oddly, though, why is it ONLY the Clinton campaign that can provide us with humor?
Mike
I like that they put the gay guy in.
A little over-board on the old people though
Curious
Anyone else wonder if the two young ladies might be a couple? The line “I’m bringing Elise (sp)” (at about 1 min 25 sec) establishes them as being in some form of relationship. But it could be simple friendship.
Near the end of the ad, after Bill gets his Burger, the ad reprises the main theme: X is hard, caucusing is easy. The only other couple in the coda has the line “Being married is hard…” (2:15) so they are married. The VERY NEXT SCENE has the two young ladies, one of whose line is, “Dating is hard….” (02:21). Now maybe they’re talking about boys…but I don’t see any boys in the picture…also, they are the only pair that appear always as a pair throughout the entire commercial.
Anybody else get that vibe? Just curious.
As to the guy whose 1st line is, “OK, you want to put Hillary in the White House”, I have to point out, he is not necessarily gay, he could easily be a non-macho/effeminate/soft-talking/non-threatening hetero. There are plenty of those.
As to the ‘over-board on the old people’ comment…what an ageist remark! Besides, retirees are the bedrock of any caucus, any how-to commercial without plenty of elderly would be targeting the wrong demographic.
Finally, the 2nd scene (0:10) with Big Bill on the treadmill and the “Vesti la giubba” aria from Pagliacci (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vesti_la_giubba) in the background is of course perfect
