Colton Haynes has officially been out of the closet publically for a couple months — and now he wants to fill your closet. With the launch of his new official website earlier this week, the Arrow star debuted a line of limited edition merch for fans and followers.
The swag available on ColtonHaynes.com is pretty much your standard merch table fare: t-shirts, posters, ball caps and iPhone cases. It runs the gamut from the predictable to the confounding. Shirts emblazoned with Colton’s face won’t exactly raise any eyebrows — and after 15 years’ worth of washing will have definite ironic vintage appeal.
Haynes has opened up recently not only about his sexuality but also about his struggles with anxiety, so the heather grey tees with the word “anxious” printed across the front in an incongruously elegant script are comparatively clever.
Meanwhile, the selection of “DADDY” t-shirts and caps are kind of baffling. According to a recent tweet, that’s how some of Haynes’s Twitter followers inexplicably describe the fresh-faced, clean-shaven 27-year-old actor.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
But, please, do not confuse these tees and tanks with the clothing line Haynes announced via Instagram last week. That, according to the video posted on the site announcing the new merch, is coming next year.

It’s weird that a “gay” site continually reports on somebody who was closeted for quite a while, and then never really “officially” stated he was out, gay etc… but when there is an actual out gay star, who is out in the beginning of his career, instead of coming out, like Haynes after he is off TV, the site either attacked him or never reports on him. (The guy from “The Real O’Neils”.
So a ton of articles about straight guys or straight acting guys, and a seeming boycott on articles about an honest to goodness out gay guy on TV at the beginning of his career.

@DCguy:Queerty will cover anyone as long as they’re hot. Nerdish gay guys don’t count.
