Columbus May Have Been A Genocidal Bastard, But At Least He Got You A Long Weekend

Well, some of you at least. But even if you do have to work on Columbus’ big day, there’s still plenty to keep you busy this weekend. There’s the late-season Pride celebration in Atlanta, a Burning Man Decompression street party in San Francisco, massive dancepartes in NYC and Palm Springs, and even a “Coming out for marriage equality” march and rally in Dallas. Because when Columbus wasn’t laying waste to entire indigenous populations, the man sure knew how to party.
