Target was going to sell a shit-ton of copies of Watch the Throne no matter how far in advance it was digitally released. They are zeitgeist artists and household names that the casual consumer will buy on impulse.
With Frank Ocean, this is one of those rare capturing-lightning-in-a-bottle marketing campaigns that the stars must align for.
