Worried about anti-gay violence, some Kansas-based activists are taking public safety into their own hands with a new group, Project Resistance. The small, yet dedicated team plans on organizing patrols and outreach and the such. [LJW]
Good for them!
We had to form an anti-queerbashing group – called QUEERS BASH BACK – here in London back in the mid 1990s. The primary function was to shame the police into doing their job. And it worked, cos the police upped their patrols in the effected areas.
