Countdown!

The clock’s ticking in California, where the state’s Supreme Court Justices will hold public hearings tomorrow on the constitutionality of gay marriage. While opponents hope the Justices will honor voter’s voices – the previous tally came out with 61% of citizens defining marriage as between a man and a woman – gay activists are praying the legal types sustain the state’s progressive tradition. California was the first state to allow interracial marriages back in 1948. [Mercury News]
