After opening for Lady Gaga and starring in RENT, where she sung a duet with Idina Menzel, Australian Idol sensation and RuPaulâs Drag Race Season 6 contestant Courtney Act is set to premiere her acclaimed solo show âBoys Like Meâ in the United Kingdom. The five show, limited engagement is set to run 19-21 March in London and 31st March and 1st April in Brighton.
In âCourtney Act: Boys Like Me,â the multi-talented drag idol sings her favourite songs and divulges the fascinating and funny dirty laundry list that is her love life. This tuneful, hysterical performance showcases Courtneyâs sharp observations of living life on the gender divide and illustrates what happens when boys like her.
For her British shows, Courtney has engaged Terry Ronald, writer of Denise Von Outenâs recent West End and touring theatre show âSome Girl I Used To Know.â He also wrote the bestselling book âBecoming Nancy.â âBoys Like Meâ will be performed in 2 of Britainâs most popular intimate live performance spaces, The Pheasantry in Chelsea, London and Proud Cabaret in Brighton.
