Courtney Act’s Debut EP Gets Fully Funded on Kickstarter

We reported last month that RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 finalist Courtney Act had announced that she had plans to start working on her full album to get it released by this summer. Now, after raising more than $4,000 above her $20k Kickstarter crowdfunding goal, Courtney’s debut EP, called ‘Kaleidoscope,’ is set to be release this June (or sometime thereabouts).

Courtney launched the crowdfunding campaign in late April and was able to reach her goal in about a weeks time, but the project is still in need of funding.

“We have done a budget and to do this puppy properly we really need 60k,” Courtney wrote in a late-April update. “It’s a lot I know. This includes 7 tracks produced, mixed and mastered. 2 music videos (we have a really epic director on board for the debut clip, like… childhood dreams come true, I will reveal more in future backers updates), publicity, artwork, photography, CD production and everything else! I am truly humbled that you are even here considering pre-ordering my EP, anything you contribute I am so epically grateful.”

Incentives available for donating to this project include an early digital download of the EP before it’s released to the public, an autographed CD, custom ringtones or voicemail messages, a one-on-one video chat, a Courtney makeover and so much more!
