Floridian Governor Charlie Crist's bringing out the big guns! The potential vice-presidential nominee wants to cement his questionable heterosexuality:
For months, Gov. Charlie Crist has insisted that New York socialite Carol Rome is just "a friend," but Tuesday night at a soiree in the Governor's Mansion, he introduced her as "my girlfriend," says the Tallahassee Democrat, which snapped the picture above.In November, the New York Post reported that Rome, in the midst of divorcing Bluestar Jets CEO Todd Rome, was dating Crist. Then, the governor's staff said Rome, a mother of school-age girls, was just "a friend."
Still, last month Crist took Rome to the White House for a dinner with President Bush. So far, that's two high-profile dates for just a "friend."
Has Crist found love or does he think American voters are blind, deaf and – most importantly – dumb?

Unfortunately…American voters are blind, deaf, and dumb.
Not to mention the fact that they have the attention span of a ferret. The entire electorate seems to have collective ADD every four years.
They make the same mistakes over and over and over again. They always choose actors, cowboys, and preachers to become their leaders. And then they throw a hissy fit when they realize those folks don't have a clue about governing, as if it were some sort of shocking surprise.
You can't elect a below average businessman whose only claim to fame is daddy was president (or the pastor of some mega-church who hasn't read a book other than the Bible in four decades)…and then bitch about it when they don't know about the Sunnis.

Crist is queer as a three dollar bill! It's freakin' weird that everyone just pretends he's str8. Jeb hand picked him so the FL govenor be out of the running and then Jebby can run in 2012 – when everyone is nostolgic for the Bush II regime.
As a Floridian, I can tell you that Crist has been tragic as a governor. His campaign was to reduce insurance rates and get property taxes to "drop like a rock". Insurance rates, on average, have gone up. And, apparently Crist idea of a "rock" is $240/year. When you consider that my property taxes on my $200k condo are over $6,000/year, that $240 is nothing but an insult.
Crist, however, seems to be making a play for the Republican VP position. That's conventional political wisdom here, anyway. If this is the case, I can see why the bachelor suddenly has a beard. The GOP would NEVER consider him if he doesn't have the appearance of stalwart heterosexuality.
I could care less if he's gay. However, I would love for him to get the VP nod. His lack of action on his promises would provide great fodder for the Democratic candidate.
He's hot in a daddy kind of way. I'd bag him. Hell, maybe I have!
